Macro calculators

Hello everyone, I was wondering if any of y’all had any recommendations for any free macro calculators.

Cronometer is best IMO
MyFitnessPal is okay, but cronometer does it better

Are you looking for the tracker or for a starting point in the first place?

Agreed with Cronometer for tracking.

Thank you

Just something to help me track how much protein I eat. I’m about 215 lbs at 16 years old. I’ve been consistently lifting since I was 13 and I wanna try to keep my protein goals in while also entering a calorie deficit, mainly to improve my quality of life in general.

Weigh your protein raw while using these calculators. Cooked protein varies in water content so significantly that you can’t really rely on it’s weight as an accurate protein count.

Jerky at one point looked like beef strips, yet they both have the same protein content.

I’ve always wondered about this. I mostly weigh out my protein raw, but sometimes I’ll make a big batch of chicken and then weigh out portions after its cooked. I would think that information about protein per ounce of baked chicken thighs would be pretty reliable and consistent.

It’s only accurate if you weigh it before and weigh it after.

Weighing only after is just too unreliable.
