Staying around my calorie goal but wondering what’s a good ratio of protein and carbs to shoot for , keeping fat pretty low but carbs and protein are about even
I don’t see a reason why you’d employ a ratio. Your body doesn’t function based off ratios: it works based off totals. Why not determine your protein needs, then from there see how many calories you have left to play with and divide that among proteins, fats and carbs as you see fit? So long as you are hitting your minimum required fats as well to maintain hormone function.
Unless you can show me a visual example of how a body changes based on macros, i think its obvious that macros don’t matter much.
Kind of what I was thinking , trying to keep calories at maintenance or slightly above . My main concern has been hitting my protein goals each day and letting the rest just be what it’s gonna be
Totally agree with the above.
My personal starting minimums are .8g protein x bodyweight and .3g fats.
I’m starting to adjust my thinking closer to 150g protein as an absolute (vs relative) starting point and .4g fats.
