Have any of you read the book OJB (operation james bond)

Its a supposably true story about a world war two english spy (the author), who, among other things, tipped off the germans about an attack on the french coast, an attack which was set up in order to gain the germans trust. It lead to the death of about two thousand british deaths (the author claims) and was sanctioned by Winston Churchill himself.

If the book is true then Churchill knew (and was behind) many underhand lies and deception that resulted in death.

Thats if the story is true…

I haven’t read that but I do recall an attack at a place called Dieppe (I think). Is that the focus of the OJB book?

I would put nothing past Sir Winston. He worshipped trees, not the sanctity of human life.

Sir Winston was also a terrorist.

“Churchill was particularly keen on chemical weapons, suggesting they be used ‘against recalcitrant Arabs as an experiment’. He dismissed objections as ‘unreasonable’. ‘I am strongly in favor of using poisoned gas against uncivilised tribes…[to] spread a lively terror’”

Churchhill’s definition of terror is now anachronistic, in the newspeak definition, “terror” can only be committed by one’s enemies.

winston was a diabolical genius.

As if the Germans haven’t had plenty of time to put “war materials” on this sunken ship. This is obviously a conspiracy of some sort. Where were those divers from again?

What would you prefer, Hitler winning or Churchill killing 2000 british soldiers and a boatload of innocent people. The lesser of two evils. I don’t get some of you people, Churchill won the war, an honest man would not. A good person overcomes their emotions and does bad deeds when it serves a greater good.

We’re all fascinated by the fact that the supposed moral superiority of the West is sustained/protected by tactics like Churchill’s.

But there is merit in your argument.
