So what are people’s thoughts on how much T people should do in response to hypo? I don’t mean in mg. I mean should you do the lowest amount you need to feel right? Is a little “extra” in your dose a good thing? Bad?
Definitely varies from person to person. If you’re referring to total T, when I got into the 400s I knew something was very wrong. Bringing it up to the 500s felt a little better, but my FT was still low.
I’m really cautious about adding too much as it seems to make me easily angered. Learned this the hard way. But not everyone is the same, there’s some guys on here well over 1000 and saying they feel great.
If you’re referring to adding a little extra in the syringe from time to time, on T cyp/enan you’ll likely never notice it. Too slow acting.
I’m not looking for specific personal advice in this thread, but I thought of the question in response to me accidentally doubling my dose by switching syringes. My shitty 3ml syringes were EXTREMELY wasteful of T. So it appears I was doing fantastic on only 40mg a week, split into two doses. 80mg split into two doses was good, but probably too much for me as my muscles were begging to be worked out and my resting heart rate was too fast. I also didn’t feel as consistently great.
On 80mg once a week, I was hitting 1200 Total T at my peak. And the consensus seems to be if you split your dose, you should reduce it by about 20%. Well… in this case, reduced by 50% it appears I was doing amazing (other than libido which was pretty ethereal). Having discovered this dosing issue, I’m going to compromise and go to 60mg a week, in part because it’s very difficult to believe I was feeling so freaking good on 40mg. I am definitely sensitive to the stuff.
Not specifically for me but I am curious about what people have to say about whether one should be on the “lowest possible dose to feel right”. My bones it turns out are in terrible shape. Like I’m 40 and at last density check they were okay for a 70-year-old.
They thought it was from a long dose of prednisone a decade ago, and Crohn’s, but it turns out it was likely a few years of Low T that did the trick. So I wonder, for example, if “more T” means more rebuilding of bone.
This is temporary (or so I’ve noticed)… esp on higher dosages, the body down regulates beta adrenergic receptoros in response to initial upregulation and increased catecholamine uptake. By too fast what are we talking? like 80? 90? 91?
Fastest AAS induced HR I’ve ever had was on cycle recently (in conjunction with moderately severe iron deficiency anaemia), I’d wake up with a RHR of 68-69! Partially AAS induced and partially anaemia induced
Yes. Lowest dose possible is in my book.
As long as you feel good. But you can’t just keep increasing dose because what you think are symptoms related to t dose could be symptoms related to other treatment needed ( like thyroid, prolactin being out of range, etc)
Unreal: it was all that. Not sure if temporary. Dose was just too high. I find I’m more nervy on that dose and also had memory issues. Not as bad as when I was low but not good. One lower dose shot and a few days later my sharpness is coming back.
Charlie: I’m gonna roll with the lowest dose I can but I have to figure out what that is. This is the hard part!
You accidentally halved your dose and felt better on a twice a week protocol. So, that would indicate that probably you might want to lower your normal dose. Not in half, you would have had all of the accumulated test in your system holding a level at that point, so probably more like a 10% drop in dose and see what happens at 6 weeks.
Hi HA. I was doing 1x80 for a year. Then at between 6 and 11 full weeks on what appears to be 2x20 I was basically King of Earth, with no let up.
Then I moved to 2x40 and after a few weeks lull on that, I felt pretty good most of the time - not amazing - and with some issues I did not like.
(Also a single dose of 46 sent me into crazy traumatic anxiety as it peaked. Not my imagination because I didn’t know I’d done it. It’s very predictable.)
So I know that 2x40 is very close to the top of what I should ever get.
I was thinking of moving to 2x30. Did not mean to turn this into an advice thread but I appreciate it just the same.
