Hi Guys,
I need help plotting my next move on my stage to recovery.
So to my understanding, I may have low t3 syndrome. My TSH and T4, Free T4 have been good, but my free t3 and t3 have been consistently low.
I’ve been seeing a homeopath since July, changed my diet to organic meats, veggies, fruits, bone broth, collagen, etc you name it. I’m taking Vit D & C, Selenium, B12, ZMA, and B complex. I also take adaptogens such as Ginseng, Ashwagandha, Long Jack, Black Maca, and Maca Velvet.
Unfortunately there hasn’t been too much change up to this point: fatigue is a little better as well as mental clarity and anxiety but still have a ways to go.
My main symptoms are:
Fatigue
Brain Fog
Low Libido
ED
I went to the endo yesterday to get bloods done and i plan to see my PCP to get a quest sheet to test things on my own.
These have been my last few bloods:
My Thyroid panel on 02/06/2018:
TSH 1.763 (0.400-4.000)
Free T4 1.3 (0.8-1.6)
T4 5.6 (4.5-12.0)
TT3 0.7 (0.8-1.6) L
T3 Uptake 35.4 (22.0-35.0)
FT3 2.63 (2.30-4.20)
Less comprehensive but Thyroid panel on 06/11/2018
TSH 1.55 (0.40-4.50 mIU/L)
T4,FREE 1.5 (0.8-1.8 ng/dL)
T3,TOTAL 60 (76-181 ng/dL) L
8/13/2018:
TSH 1.29 (0.40-4.50 mIU/L)
T4 1.4 (0.8-1.8 ng/dL)
T3,TOTAL 60 (76-181 ng/dL) L
I’d like to know what are some possible causes for low t3 that i should be looking into? What is disrupting my conversion of T4 → T3?
What are areas should I be asking my PCP to test? he’s a very nice guy and is willing to request work for whatever i ask.
Any and all help is appreciated.
