Low T Levels

Hey guys I’m 23 years old and I’ve had a undescended my whole life. One testicle is completely descended while the other one is partially descended. Over the past few years I always had blood work done and it showed that my free floating T levels have been very low for my age group. We are talking boarder line below the reference range. I have always wanted to try out T therapy but my docs always told me that I’m to young and that my testicles would be sterile etc if i started using T therapy at such a young age.

I recently had some blood work done and it showed that my free floating testosterone level has changed a lot since last year. The lab work was done through Quest Diagnostics. The reference range for free floating T for Quest is 35.0-155.0 pg/mL. Last year I had a value of 145 pg/mL and now my free floating T value is at 88.1 pg/mL. Is this normal? I scheduled an appointment with my doctor for next week.

The only difference was that last year when I got my blood work done I was on this supplement called Deer Antler velvet. I’m assuming thats the reason why my T levels went up. The reason why I’m posting all this information is because I’m tired of always feeling some what foggy mentally as if my brain is on ice. Low T has been a distraction to my life. I want to get started on some sort of a T replacement therapy mainly because I don’t know if its safe to take a supplement like deer antler for a extended period of time. I would really appreciate some good feedback on how to approach this.

I wouldn’t think it’s normal to change that much but anything is possible. Was that the only blood test done? Free Testosterone?

As an aside. You may want to have the undescended testicle fixed. That testicle is at much higher risk for testicular cancer. You are in the prime age rage for developing testicular carcinoma as well.

Be sure you get checked regularly.

Cheers!
