Low Libido on TRT

This will be disastrous. As people can build a fake persona very quickly.

Am Dr steven. Ive been in practice for 20 years and see hundreds of men on trt a year.

This is not me. Just saying…

Defy is conservative, they will hold your treatment hostage if HCT is 52>. They are even conservative about AI dosing (.125), T-Mills prescribe huge (1mg 3-7x wk) dosage of anastrozole.

These facts don’t support your claim that Defy is a T-Mill.

@steven90 I think it’s pretty obvious to look at a Facebook profile, for instance, and know immediately if it is genuine or fake. Friends, photos, public posts, other social media, etc.

Defy is constantly evolving… To get new patients and make there most money. That’s the business.

The ai they religiously prescribed at start on trt disgusts me. Maybe they changed now. Idc

I hate that they do this. I used to recommend them and a close friend still goes there. They are rampantly prescribing Nandrolone and other drugs now. Its clearly a money machine over general health over there. Nandrolone and Anavar have no place in a TRT regimen.

See we do agree on some things.
Full disclosure I started with them in Dec. We’ll see how it goes.

Your account here seems new @steven90. This exact thing happened.

I’ll gladly start a “TRT credentials thread” if you guys feel that it is a good idea.

If we made real names or photos mandatory, I’m pretty sure members would disappear in droves, unfortunately. However, there’s always been a pretty reliable parallel between the anonymity of an account and the quality of a member’s advice. Not foolproof, but pretty reliable.

Especially on a forum like T Nation where we’re dealing with training, nutrition, and supplements that can improve health, gym performance, and physique, people who go out of their way to avoid sharing any of that info tends to raise red flags.

Could be as simple as keeping a training log, having their pic as an avatar, sporadically mentioning their own resutls in posts, or participating in the Photo Check-Ins that we’ve had twice a year for the last 8 years (FYI: the next one is coming up next week.)

Of course people are entitled to privacy, but if someone chooses to offer advice, it’s not beyond reason to expect people to know where that advice is coming from.

@Chris_Colucci just so you’re aware, that Photo Check-Ins link you posted doesn’t appear to go anywhere

They didn’t push an AI at all for me, even with e2 of 73, so I guess they’ve changed on that piece.

I’m not a fan of them prescribing deca, though

I could create a TRT Credentials thread and detail some of the info that one could provide. The MORE information someone provides, the more it could add to their credibility.

As each member makes their own comment, the likes to that comment would indicate that the person is knowledgeable and reliable.

Thoughts?

A risk, and it’s happened once before, unfortunately (we will not be dredging that up right now). However, trying to play that role and maintain a character is something that won’t typically stand up to actual scrutiny. It’s just as much of a risk as taking unqualified, unvetted advice from a complete stranger.

I know where he’s going with that one…

I wasn’t aware Defy was prescribing Nandrolone, maybe things have changed since I last used them.

That was one of the reasons I went with them, but I have a lot of joint & back pain & that limits my mobility making it difficult to be active.

Otc stuff doesnt help much, opiods do but have their own set of issues. I get injections several times a year, that require sedation (an IV) and are expensive.

I agree it’s not part of a trt program but if it can improve my quality of life, I’ll try it. I haven’t as yet, still working on trt dose. Maybe once I get dialed in, I won’t need it.

All you need to do is demonstrate back pain or joint pain, provide xrays as some form of proof, et voila. I know this as fact.

Look I get it. No harm no foul to those that are educated on the risks. But I would put a large bet that they are seeing 1000s of patients and most of them don’t have a clue of the risks associated Nandrolone. I’ve heard they at least require you cycle it but can’t verify that for sure. Long term use even in therapeutic doses is a no-no IMO.

I tried it myself. Even did a video about my experience. Started with 100mg a week. Back pain vanished. Dropped down to 50mg a week and still good. Did that for a little while. Soon enough, libido started to fail, erections getting soft, lethargic, blood pressure up, heart beat up, out of breath all the time. Didn’t sound too healthy so I stopped. Was back to normal 3 weeks later. I won’t touch it again.

My experience was much the same. I knew the risks though and bailed quickly as well. I just don’t feel the majority are aware of these side effects as well as the long term cardiac issues.
