I asked for these. They didn’t give them to me because docs dont listen. I will return and get them.
Thanks @KSman @Igs @Hostile @Nashtide @equalo212 @gonadthebarbarian @verne @jimgainz
If they refuse go to www.discountedlabs.com and find a lab close to you and pay out of pocket.
Okay, I will if they refuse.
What do you think about my Liver Labs?
Thanks @KSman @Igs @Hostile @Nashtide @equalo212 @gonadthebarbarian @verne @jimgainz @studhammer
Could my Liver also be partially to blame here for that 39 E2? Or gut alone?
@Igs
Can you weigh in on the Liver Labs you suggested I get?
Please and Thank you
@KSman
Cholesterol is high. Can be caused by liver issues, which is likely caused from stress and inflammation. Can also point toward under active thyroid which can also be due to stress and inflammation.
I had been eating like 6 eggs each day with yolks. I am gonna stop doing this for 60 days and test cholesterol again.
Thanks
@Hostile
Yeah, that would do it.
what about my liver labs?
@KSman
why wont ksman reply?
ok so eggs arent my problem. what do i do?
What does your diet, lifestyle and training look like exactly?
I was lifting for like 2 hours everday. sweating tons. pounding coffee to train harder. lots of eggs chicken and other low fat high protein foods the past year. wasnt fat. not fat.
Low carb diets and over training can wreak havoc on our bodies, specifically our hormonal systems, leaving cortisol chronically elevated which can cause “pregnenolone steal.” This could be verified with rt3 which reveals stress quite reliably, both physically and mentally.
I think your issues could be remedied if you reduced your stress and put your focus to reduce inflammation systemically. There’s a ton of info on both on the WWW. Stress and cortisol reduction can be done via meditation every day and increasing your carbs. I get the bulk of mine via rice, oats, buckwheat, potatoes, fruits and veggies.
I think your issue can be resolved via lifestyle changes, but I’m wrong at least once a day.
My balls are producing enough testosterone im sure, I stayed up all night before those labs unfortunately and i dont doubt i can get a clean natural 600ng/dl on a rested day.
That being said, I really dont think i need any pharmceuticals or TRT to overcome whats going on. If I could get that E2 down and lower my cholesterol i should be good.
These are things that i can probably do simply by educating myself and applying what i learn. no medicine required.
So i think we agree. thanks for the input. I wish KSman would talk about my AST/ALT from Liver Labs though because they look “high normal”.
So here’s my thoughts – first the liver values look fine but, as previously noted cholesterol needs to be worked on. My best friend is one of the leading preventive cardiologists in the country – and I’ve had numerous discussions with him about cholesterol. 80% of it is genetics. In fact – and I quote him – people are healthier eating bacon and eggs every day then having donuts and bread. Theres a lot of reasons for this – but the point is at a cholesterol of 260 you’re probably going to need a low dose Statin. I did not see LDL numbers but I would suspect those are probably over 100. ( if I had to bet – probably around 140) Heart attack risk is LDL driven so you need to lower that and the only way is through a Statin.
FWIW - my numbers were total cholesterol 225, LDL 125 and HDL in the 80s - but since my family has a history of heart disease – my doc buddy put me on a low dose Statin – like 20 mg of Lipitor every other day and it knocked that shit down to 160 total LDL of 70. There’s other advantages for this – and again – I’m quoting my friend – but he said that he has seen people come into his office in their 70s and 80s with zero plaque and heart disease and the only common denominator was that they were on low-dose statins. I would check into this.
Did you do any lifting or rigorous exercise within a few days of the blood draw? Your alt and ast are fine and not reliable markers for liver health, specifically for athletes. Mine are consistently above normal due to bodybuilding.
Also, stay away from statins at all costs.
So why did KSman tell me to get them? They cost money.
I didnt do any lifting near that day.
Thanks @Hostile @KSman
Nobody’s perfect.
Liver gets tested to see if E2 is being cleared out from what I saw through the stickys… if your liver is working well then that’s not the cause of the problems of your hormones.
In short KSMAN said test liver to see if it’s the reason for the mess in your hormones.
