Low Libido and ED w/ Labs

Well, taking morning temps is pretty low effort, so I’d do that too.

The gut health thing and fermented foods, I don’t know much about that, so I didn’t comment on it. I’m certainly not convinced on it though. I’d easily go down the thyroid and liver route before changing my life and diet.

Why are you not convinced about fermented foods and gut health?

Because he self admittedly “doesn’t know much about the topic”. I understand you’re seeking help and advice, but you’ve been given quite a few potential paths to follow. Im currently taking testosterone cypionate, anastrazole and hcg. I wish I could go back and deplete all possible venues before diving into pharmaceuticals. You have the opportunity to. Everyone, even those who are healthy at first glance should be eating and living in a way that reduces system inflammation and also leaky gut. So even if it doesn’t solve your problem, it will likely reduce your risk of other diseases and symptoms with the added bonus that you can cross it off of your list of possible causes and contributing factors to your current situation. Read and learn everything you can about reducing systemic inflammation and leaky gut.

Yeah i have never touched any TRT or HRT drugs yet. I dont really intend to with a 530 total T that I could probably get to 600+ naturally, with better sleep and less caloric restriction. I am eating Kimchi as we speak and have been the past week. I always have an irritable gut and irritable bowels. I drink a ton of coffee and I know it messes with gut motility amongst other things. Probably have a highly acidic gastrointestinal enviroment. Gonna cut back. Gonna add Mortion’s iodized Salt. Gonna get those Liver Labs.

I am eating a lot of Kimchi now. How long (in days or weeks) should I continue eating fermented foods before pursuing Estradiol Labs again? Thanks @Igs @Hostile @KSman

I’ve had Gerds for many years that Plain Greek Yogurt pretty much resolved . Doing so also allowed me to get a healthy protein intake – without having to resort to protein supplements – that I learned have been filled with toxic metals

Oh - and I to drink a lot of coffee as well. 6 to 8 cups a day – love the stuff – but also feel the anti oxidants provide benefits. FWIW - my grandmother died at 102 years old – and I asked her what’s her secret to a long life - and she told me drinking coffee and red wine daily

May add in some Greek Yogurt. Thanks for the reply @jimgainz

Your numbers do look low. Are you getting any iodine in your diet? High protien, low carb diets are often low salt, and iodized salt is a major way we get iodine.

I believe I was not previously, but I just had Morton’s Iodized Salt delivered to my home. I intend to use that along with a liquid Iodine supplement that was suggested in the stickies as [IR].

Thanks @KSman @Igs @Hostile @Nashtide @equalo212 @gonadthebarbarian @verne @jimgainz

Do not supplement with “high” dose iodine without also taking a selenium supplement along with it.

You should consider going to a lab and getting a full thyroid panel done: tsh, ft4, ft3 and rt3. rt3 will be most expensive but is needed. Go to www.discountedlabs.com to schedule an appointment at a lab close to you and you can pay out of pocket if your Dr won’t test for exactly what you want. If that’s the case you can present the results to your Dr.

I am getting both Thyroid and Liver Labs. Already had the blood drawn in hosptal.

Thanks @KSman @Igs @Hostile @Nashtide @equalo212 @gonadthebarbarian @verne @jimgainz

Ordered both already… Liquid Iodine supplment and a standalone selenium supplement to compliment it too, however my multivitamin (ONs brand Opti-Men) already lists a solid amount of selenium.

No ft3 or rt3? If I remember your body temps were somewhat low. TSH isn’t awful, typically 1.0 is ideal. ft3 is the fuel so to speak but it can be thwarted and rendered useless if rt3 is high which interferes with it’s function at receptor sites and can sometimes be the case of low body temps when all else thyroid looks ok.
