my liver labs AST/ALT are borderline “high” i would say.
Cannot always keep up the pace for all of the traffic on this site. All the more with USA holiday season or time I must travel.
Liver not bad, but AST/ALT are slightly elevated. Nothing indicated as major problem.
Were you lifting or sore muscles prior?
Cholesterol is taken up in cells for structural use and mitochondria metabolized lipids and cholesterol to make ATP, the universal currency of cellular energy and cholesterol–>pregnenolone the foundation of all of your steroid hormones and cortisol. Mitochondria are regulated by rT3 as part of the body’s temperature control loop and mitochondria are enabled by CoQ10 made in the liver, and statin drugs interfere with that in some people. The effect of rT3 is what is left after rT3 is accounted for. If any of this is impaired, cholesterol/lipid burn/metabolism is impaired and cholesterol increases and fat levels increase. So thyroid function is very important. All organs and hormone systems can be affected by low thyroid function as everything can slow down. Low T increases cholesterol and we often see TRT lower cholesterol significantly. We do see a pattern that suggests that low thyroid function is associated with low [T, LH/FSH].
I appreciate your reply and understand your time is valuable.
I was not lifting and did not have sore muscles prior. What is my next step? My Libido is low and my erection quality is not as good as it used to be. I am still looking at the e2 as primary cause.
Your paragraph while filled with info has me a bit of a loss at what to do next.
Again, I do appreciate your time.
Thanks @KSman
