Low Carbs and I'm Still Gaining Fat

Actually I just found out I’m gaining fat and retaining water due to high estrogen levels. But to get on with the questions I’ve been asked.

  1. Carbs are from clean sources ie protein shakes, milk, occasional potato, and cereal in the morning. It also comes from various foods I might consume during the day, like a burger patty, or slice of cheese. I don’t eat very much bread and almost no pasta.
What cheese do you eat that it has carbs?

  2. 179 g on a BULK IS LOW. Or at least I’ve been reassured this several times. Especially since one of my good friends is taking in 300-500 carbs a day and not gaining much if any fat.
What may work for him, may not work for you. Just saying. Play with the numbers.

  3. PR’s are going up, as well as strength. Although it is slow.

  4. I just wanted to give a general exercise plan because I’m lazy and I was looking for advice on nutrition, I’ve gotten good strength and size gains from my current program in the past, although I vary it. Also since my current man titted fat assed state is due to high E, then non of this really matters.

  5. WHY THE F IS MY E HIGH!!!??? I’m not taking any PH’s and haven’t for some time. I’m not on nor have i ever been on AAS.
Do you often heat up your foods in a microwave in plastic containers? Genetics? Have you done drugs?
179 is not low.

According to whom? Dr Atkins?
no Dr. Pasquale

I can put down 400g of carbs at a bodyweight of 175 pounds without a problem.
What YOU can do, works for YOU. For example I sure as shit can’t eat 400g of carbs/day

It’s all relative.
Oh really?

Nutrient timing is overrated.
Lol man, alright smh
but of course, i might be wrong

From another thread:

You’re a fucking idiot.

Nutrient timing is the most important part of nutrition.

JB’s 7 habits don’t cover macronutrient and caloric details because it’s almost impossible to fuck up your bulk(eating a lot) or cut(eating less) if you follow these nutrient timing guidelines.

Just wanted to clarify that I didn’t write “Nutrient timing is overrated.” Just came out that way for some reason when I responded

Wow Red are you really that sore about being wrong about the benefits of Arginine that you’d have to rub High E in a guys face? If that’s that case maybe your E is too high as well. I was stating that zinc is thought to raise T, cholesterol plays a vital role in T production, and Calcium D-Glucarate is thought to scavenge excess estrogen. You just hate when people are smarter than you don’t you?

To answer the question about WHEN i take in my carbs. It’s meals 1,2,3, and I was taking a few (less than 20, and some was fiber) PWO. Right now I’m trying to manage the fat gain by eating leaner until I can get my hands on a SERM or AI.

I was on Halodrol LG because I was told it would have little to no sides. But that was a month ago and things have gotten worse, not better over these past weeks.

Also I was on an IGF-1 booster called HexaGHen. Don’t think that could cause problems with E, but I’m no doc.

The hexaghen has been stopped for at least 5 days.

Stop this fucking nonsense about getting fat because you are consuming X amount of carbs.

This has ziltch to do with it. You are getting fat because you are consuming too many CALORIES.

Have we really come to this?

Someone delete this thread.

You must have missed a post. It’s high E that’s causing my weight gain. In all likeliness my diet and exercise are fine.

Firstly I wouldn’t mention arginine, you lost that one.
Since you are touting calcium d-glucarate as an estrogen scavenger you really should be taking it. If you don’t think it’s affective you really shouldn’t be talking about it in other threads.
I’m not going to talk about your green tea or zma noob threads.
And why the hell are you messing around with prohormones without researching what the hell you are taking.

You may be smarter than me, but fatboy moobs, I most certainly do not have bitch tits.

snort BWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!! nice one man, got any more?

Beershoes, 179g carb is insanely high!

cut it to 50g per day and see how you go.

AMEN TO FU#KING THAT!!

No matter what your are eating in terms of fat/carbs/protein YOU WILL GET FATTER if the CALORIES IN > CALORIES OUT.

Tone down your fat intake, you are getting 1800kcals from it at least.

@ TooHuman

You are a dolt.

x2. I know “some people” may have carb sensitivity issues, but I feel that WAY TOO MANY people hop on the carbphobic bandwagon. It doesn’t even make sense (during a bulk).

  1. Nutrient timing is HUGE especially for those who put on fat rather easy when it comes to calorie surpluses. For those who say otherwise, you’re blessed with high carb tolerance and a good metabolism. For those that aren’t so blessed, such as (possibly) the OP, you should consider keeping carbs in the mornings and around your workout.

  2. OP, if you’re not able to get prescribed to a SERM or an AI, I’d recommend looking into calcium D-glucarate supplementation at about 1000 mg a day (depending on your specific circumstances) and resveratol at about 600mg a day. If you can’t afford the supplements, be sure to be getting in lots of cruciferous veggies (broccoli and cauliflower) as well as cabbage, brussel sprouts, and bean sprouts as they have the highest levels of d-glucaric acid.

Beyond that, high levels of stress have been shown to lead to elevated estrogen and suppressed T, so be sure to minimize stress and maximize sleep. Finally, be conscious of things that contribute xenoestrogens to your body’s chemistry. Among the most common are using plastic (especially when heated) for water and food, and many airborne chemicals (such as air fresheners).

Hope this helps,
BT

Thanks BT, I have been trying to get a hold of some Calcium D-Glucarate and I’ve been considering resveratol as well. Problem is funds are dry until tomorrow and I have to order them online, and for as much as I would spend on those two I might as well get some arimadex. Thanks for the help, but stress is low and sleep high, and I don’t use plastics except for shaker cups and water bottles. I’ve never heated in them. Also I keep my carbs in the morning and PWO.

Red, you’re oblivious. Also I research everything before I buy it. Except for Metabolic Drive, but that was an excellent choice anyhow.

How about some Indole-3-Carbinol (I3C) for estrogen?

I3C? Not enough info on it for me to try it. At least not the articles I’ve read. Thanks for the suggestion though. Also I eat a TON of Broccoli every day.
