Sorry, but I haven’t the time or desire to track down a thread where a famous person is supposedly quoted as saying something that doesn’t make sense.

I’ve seen too many articles where outlandish claims were made about various professional athletes diets to believe them any more. Just because someone is quoted as saying something doesn’t mean they actually said it or that it’s true.

Well it is actually Serge Nubret saying it.
Prof X he did say he also ate a lot of horsemeat so some it may have been beef and horsemeat, not sure. I am sure you could ask Serge any questions you need clarified on that message board.[/quote]

I think you are missing what I am saying. Arnold S. just gave an interview speaking against steroid use. Does this mean this is truly how Arnold feels? I don’t doubt for a second he wrote it. I also don’t believe everything I read. Perhaps you do…and that’s fine. Life must be considerably more beautiful when you do. I hold my opinion based on my own experience and discussions with people bigger than Nubret and much more developed.

Anything is possible. Everything is not probable.

Exactly my point, its not like I read it in a magazine. He’s on that forum answering any question anybody asks for free, not trying to sell you something, and is very open about everything. He talks about his training, his diet, everything. He even talks about his personal life, friendhips, etc. After reading that thread, my opinion of him increased alot.

X, I tried to PM you the thread a few days ago, that’s why I aked if you got my PM, but they weren’t working.

Chris,

You don’t have time to track down a thread and see what that person wrote, not from a magazine, but from the person directly. Yet you have time to call me out and time to continue responding…I don’t understand that one.

Hey I am not saying I believe it, I was just saying it is coming from Serge himself. The Arnold analogy is off though, what does Serge have to gain from lying about his diet? I think the fact that Serge is obviously a genetic freak has to factor into this argument though.

Hell I eat high carb so I am with you X, I think they are essential to building mass, I dropped my carbs down for a while to test it out and I gained weight very slowly, then upped them and boom weight gain took off again.

My opinion of him has never decreased. That is another thing I am trying to get you to understand. I could care less about arguing with the man about how he ate 30 freaking years ago. I respect him for his place in the history of bodybuilding. That doesn’t mean I believe everything he writes, however, which is the way some of you seem to think.

I see that same mentality on this board in reference to some of the authors. Some seem to believe that disagreement with an author means “hatred” of the author. I can respect Nubret without believing one word about how he ate 6lbs of beef a day no matter how many times he repeats it.

As far as your pm’s, you must be spelling my name wrong because it works for everyone else apparently.

“I messed with the AD and the problem is it’s illogical given the biochemical demands of our body.”

Good gravy. You are a beginner with a year’s experience and you weigh 145. Please don’t bash something that has worked for thousands of people because you “Messed” with it.

As trib. said, either do it or dont. He’s very Yoda-like.

Take that as a compliment I will, unless otherwise I hear.

A compliment, it is.

Has anyone here experimented with a 1:1 protein-to-carb ratio?

In other words, eating on gram of CHO for each gram of protein.
