The bar is deceptive. You start out being able to ha for the weight and working fine. Up the weight and at some point it tries to slam your head into the floor if you get too loose with bracing, or if the weight is too heavy. It really teaches bracing and upright torso position like no other tool.
The young guns tried out the chain dynamic bench work. And slingshot. I stayed away from pressing. Wednesday we are headed to Invictus powerlifting club to meet an old head in the powerlifting game and learn some from his experience
Those are some good goals right there. Competing in a PL meet will be be perfect motivation to attack those numbers. You have any meets in mind so far?
Savage new year man! \o/
I used to have 120 lb of chain (available for each side of the bar, 6 x 40 lb), was amazing. Felt so beast. Chains are testosterone. jajaja. Definitely get some chains.
Happy new year Big Hog.
Some good goals you’ve got there mate,5 plate squat is very doable for you I think, maybe not if your trying to drop weight at the same time though.
Maybe time to consolidate your gains for a while, maintain the strength you’ve got while shedding some kg, after a while of this it will be easy to blast through to new PB’s
