Losthog—2018 First year

I came out down $100. Not too bad for a free room, breakfast, a big lunch, and 5-10 free drinks. And all the shit talking people could stand…good to hang with the buddies for a night.

My bud hit em for $600

Yeah, that isnt bad at all. I used to go to casinos with a buddy who was addicted to gambling. Saw him lose $30k once and it was devastating, especially considering we were both only 19

Looking good man. Hows the hammie feeling?

@duketheslaya Better and better. Some tightness still but zero pain. It was itchy a bit today… good sign. Tomorrow is dead lift day. I’ll skip it and do some back work. But it won’t be easy to skip it. I may do some body squats just to feel it out a bit. I used a roller stick lightly on it tonight. It was gritty feeling but no pain.

That’s good to hear. Injuries suck

You’re also looking leaner.

Muscles are full of glycogen again.

Great work on the PR. Sometimes a few days off does bloody wonders hey.
Have you got a proper rumble type roller you can use to roll on the floor, it is painful, but helps a ton. I used to use mine a lot, hurts like hell after some leg days, but always better afterwards.

Looking good Hog.
You are definitely leaning out.
Hope your hammies comes back strong in a couple of days man

Yeah we have one. I’ve used it. When we first got it it was brutal. Now when ever I use it I never seem tight enough to get anything from it.

How tall are you? You got a lot of muscle on your frame. Looking good at your weight man. If/when you decide to do a proper cut, you’ll be very pleased.

Good work!

6’4". I’m still trying to figure the whole proper cut thing out…

Everyone has a method preference.

I like to get it done as fast as possible, so I go extreeme. Very low carbs and hi intensity cardio several times per week. Still use intraworkout drink, plazma. This way i get where i want to go quick, and dont have to track cals.

I probably give up some muscle, but in my mind its a fair trade.

02/17/2018 Deadlift day: like I was gonna not do something…

Super light day just to test the hammie. Started with a few body squats. Zero issues. Range of motion good no pain. Jumped rope and kettle ball swings All good no issues. More body squats. All good. Decided to deadlift and just take it slow.

DL:
45x10 all good
95x5. Some reps I could feel it some no
135x5 activated it without pain.
155x3. Felt tight decided to back off from this.

135x5
135x5
135x5. Wanted to do more bad
135x10 decided to try and match tonnage
135x10
135x10
135x10…all good no issues no pain. Shit it down

Front squat: decided to give it a go super light.
BWx 25
45x10. All good
65x10 all good
65x10 some activation and it was tight
85x10. All good
85x10 off and on activation. All good

It was stiff and tight. No pain. Didn’t push it

Lying leg curls: light
45x20,20,20

Decided against rack pulls did hypers instead
BWx 20, 25x20, 25x20

Bench leg up hip thrust:
20,20,20

Had a good little test workout without any pain. Decided that was enough for the day and didn’t press my luck. The hammie has no pain and some slight swelling. I’ll ice it but no stretching…just to be safe

Good work on the deadlifts with not pain, be careful though. So many reps of 10, I’d be huffing and puffing like mad

you’re a beast.
Glad you came through without any issues… yet.

Hey Hog, I’m enjoying your log. I noticed that you have squat, deadlift, and bench goals, but I didn’t see an overhead press goal. Do you have a specific goal for OHP, or are you just using it as an “accessory” to your bench?

@muskratlifts No real goal on the OHP. I guess if I was “pressed” on it, I would like 2 plates or body weight. Still a long way off from that.

What is good for the OHP?

35 pull ups for the day. 17th= 17. Its February so x2 for the month. Daily goal was 34…
