OP I’m the same as you in the fact that i work a desk job, im 5’7", but i only train 4 days a week, with 2 cardio sessions on off days. Plus i have the metabolism of a hibernating turtle. Seriously i could go for a couple of days with out eating and still not really feel hungry! I still eat 2200 on off days, and around 2500 on days i lift. Plus i eat a massive cheat meal once every week or two.
Didn’t you feel like death eating only 1700 calories a day for 6 months? I’d think my Mrs eats more than that and she doesn’t even exercise.
browndisaster - Thanks for the words of encouragement. You’re absolutely right and I have to keep reminding myself that I’ve come a long way. I still have a long way to go and sometimes it’s hard to balance those two in my mind.
ESX - Well, I didn’t start out at 1700 calories per day. That’s been the last 5-6 weeks. I think I started the diet at 2200 calories per day and kept lowering them as I stalled. Yes, I have felt like death lately though. For awhile I was able to at least have decent workouts but those have been declining the last few weeks as well. To be honest, everything has sort of been falling apart the last few weeks. The more I read replies in this thread, the more I think I’ve been completely screwing myself up.
