Im impressed that an actor is DL’ing. I mean he is not on a fucking ball with pink weights.
His leg are small but shit, he is an actor.

Plus how old is he? I bet he was not lifting when he was in his 20’s.

Isn’t he like 6 2?
I would be more impressed if he is 180.
Is he? I thought he was like 5’9". He looks pretty lean for Wolverine, not contest lean, but pretty lean.
I was always under the impression he was a good bit under 6’ too, but yeah he’s 6’2". I imagine he’s a slight bit over 180, I heard somewhere that he’s been at 210, but I have a hard time believing that. He was in real good shape in the new movie, go him.
He looked bigger in Van Helsing than Wolverine if I remember correctly.
Wow, I seriously thought he was like a Stallone or Cruise, made to look taller on film.
The thing is Wolverine is suppose to be a short, compact tank which is why they do the opposite in the X films and try to make him appear shorter. 6’2 would be a longm skinny version of the character.

Oh so now you have a problem with lifting pink weights on a ball? How long with you criticize Edgy like this?

Well the picture had him with pink balls and nipple clamps, totally different

Oh I see.
This guy is an actor, and gets paid millions of dollars to play Wolverine. There comes a point where how much you can squat and having chicken legs doesn’t really matter anymore at all.
But yes, he skips leg day.

That’s 460, huh? Pounds?
If they’re like my bumpers at home then:
Red = 25kg
Blue = 20Kg
Looks like 4 red, 2 blue, 2 45s, 2 10s maybe, and the bar = 460 or so

Saw that. They said is was 460. Everyone is falling all over how strong he is. What does he weight? 460 seems like a pretty mediocre pull.
And yeah, it looks like he should be squatting.
How much are you DL’ing that 460 is ‘mediocre’? In my opinion, anyone DL’ing that much who isn’t competing in a strength sport is doing pretty good. It’s especially good for a guy who has to wake up a 4am to lift before 8-10 hour filming sessions.
Anyone who wants to know what Jackman looked like before lifting should watch the version of Oklahoma he was in. Total transformation.
I read an article where he said he didn’t start lifting until he got the Wolverine role in X-men I. Seems like a bit of a stretch, but I could see it being around there.

I’ve done 565 (which I also consider fairly mediocre).
I didn’t say it was bad, just that the accolades it’s receiving are way out of proportion. Saying things like “wolverine is like hugh jackman instead of the other way around”. I guess that makes me the hulk then… lol.

My DL is in the low 5’s. I consider it ‘mediocre’ within the lifting community. I consider it to be excellent as compared to the general population. My non-lifting friends couldn’t fathom a 350 DL. My point is, the people giving Jackman accolades are the non-lifters, who will always be in awe of feats of strength beyond their own comprehension. There is literally no difference between me saying I can DL 500, and I can DL 800, when talking to these people, because both numbers are absurd to them. Their reaction would be the same either way.
Context.

Lol Mike Jenkins talked about this. Whenever someone outside the “community” would ask him “hey man how much ya bench?” he would tell them “bout 700lbs”. And their reply? “Oh yea that’s not bad man.” Not bad. World record level bench. They have no concept lol. And of course Mike can’t bench that much, he just says that to see what their reaction is haha.
It just seemed to me, a guy who has an expensive trainer, with tons of cash, and who’s job it is to get in shape, 460 isn’t that impressive.
Wouldn’t Jackman’s goals be more comparable to bodybuilding than powerlifting?
And I thought bodybuilders didn’t necessarily care about the weight they’re moving, provided that they have large, muscular bodies?
Man is over 40.
Man is over 6 ft tall and pretty damn lean.
Man pulled more than twice bodyweight conventional style not sumo.
I would say good for him and congrats on a good pull.
