As to you prof x, do you really think it matters to Biotest if the “old boys club” of the T-Nation forum leave? Sure noone likes losing a customer and yes we all have people we consider friends and we all appreciate the information and advice tossed around on these boards, but honestly, the old boys would be forgotten in a week.
Rainjack has been gone for MONTHS and apparently he has not been forgotten in a week. I have been off the forums in the past for up to 6 months and I was not forgotten in a week.
Now YOU, yes, if you were to leave, I doubt anyone would notice. The same can not be said for all of us, so yes, I do believe they care to some degree…or else TC wouldn’t have responded to this thread at all.
I dont want to start a big flame war here, im just saying that both you and I and everyone else as a poster im sure are insignificant in the grand scheme of Biotest. E-Popularity means very little, but i could be wrong. Do you get a special Biotest discount for all those posts you have? I have nothing against you prof, just an opinion.
If anyone wants an idea of what the forum would look like without moderation, check out getbig. You have a few nuggets immersed in a sea of schoolboy insults/comments that never get cleaned up.
We have a clean platform where we can be truthful about bodybuilding once again - and I for one am thankful.
Right, I remember your long winded post about how the forums suck and you were leaving for good, only to return.
Bullshit. Find that post. The only thing you will find is a thread I started about moving from the military to civilian life. I then stayed off the forums for over half a year for personal reasons. At least tell the truth.
Let me tell you the forums basically ceased to function! Anyways I dont want to start a big flame war here, im just saying that both you and I and everyone else as a poster im sure are insignificant in the grand scheme of Biotest. E-Popularity means very little, but i could be wrong.

I think you’re missing the point that some of the ones mentioned are big spenders. Losing a paying customer is usually never a good idea, let alone some of your highest spending ones.

I agree with this 100%. I hope even the mods are not thinking the gripe is with ALL moderation.

I Stand corrected on your post prof, i guess my memory was wrong! I aplogize and edited the post. Either way I still dont see how any 1 given forum poster or even a small group matters to a large corporation. I understand people do spend alot of money but still. I guess we have to agree to disagree.

I agree here completely, you gain customers by word of mouth (especially when you don’t have an unlimited advertising budget like some companies that take out 6 page ads for no GOD DAMN REASON!)
So if somebody has a horrible experience then they will definately tell people not to come here. I believe the number is for every bad experience a person tells approx 10 people (?).
So in the end every customer counts large or small.
There’s a grand scheme of things, and different people fit into it in different ways…and each to a different extent.
Some choose to stand out. Others blend in.

Wait…do you mean to say you’d sound like an even greater ignoramus if someone wasn’t helping you not sound so dumb?
I don’t believe it for a minute.
The only time I see CrackerFromTheSuburbs posts anymore is when someone quotes him…so please…
I am glad that you came on here to clear some things up. You continue to be a stand up guy in the midst of all the shit that pops up here. Along with that, I am very pleased and impressed that Tim would call those guys to talk with them and clear the air. Never in my life have I heard of a company having sack like that.
There are some here who when they start a thread about almost anything, will automatically attract the rest of us to check it out. Because its the person, and maybe not so much the thread itself.
The internet has changed social interaction in this day and age. Sometimes I feel like I am coming into the e-gym to talk shit with all you people. I learn a lot from many of you, more from some than others. Some people here have offered insight that I would never have come across or figured out on my own. Many of you make me laugh so hard I nearly fell out of my chair. This place is more than a bodybuilding website, for me, its rubbing elbows with all you sum-bitches.

Is it really that suprising? One Long term customer is worth more to a company than 50 first timers is most cases. If I were the owner of a successful business and found out some of my top customers left, I would get in contact with them too.
