London Riots

Just an update guys…

The police are doing a fantastic job, just been out patrolling our local streets and the police are everywhere, and i mean EVERYWHERE. We saw some small groups, but they were being followed by the police.

I very much doubt there will be any clashes tonight. It would be impossible.
About fucking time

You in London yeah? Things seem calm enough there but Manchester is blowing up badly.

Uh, how about some self help? Like a shop owner sits in his shop with a shot gun?

It’s not like these rioters are going to grow up to be useful citizens. Just kill some of them and the rest will scatter like the cowardly roaches that they are.

Or have they completely disarmed the law-abiding citizens such that only criminals are armed?
Basically…yes, handguns were made illegal after the dunblane shooting, it’s really hard to own a firearm here at all unless you are a countryman or deer shooter.
And yes what that means is that it is only criminals that own handguns.

I wanted to learn to shoot and the only option open the time was to fly over to the US and go to blackwater to train, unfortunately as it worked out that trip never happenned.
That just sucks. Police cannot be everywhere. A short range weapon like a shot gun is great for home defense and yet not terribly effective for going on a rampage.

Be a great surprise for the first one through the door. No one else would enter.

BTW, you don’t need to go to blackwater to learn how to fire a weapon. Just go to Texas (or any Southern State) and sign up for a concealed handgun class.

jewbacca…at the time i wanted to learn to shoot, i wanted maximum exposure and experience with every firearm going and they seemed to be offering a good deal–also i didn’t need to have a firearms licence or be a US citizen.
It wouldn’t have affected my ability to actually own a gun just my confidence in the ability to handle them should the need ever arise.

Look, a company named “Cold Steel” makes a pen!

Apparently, it even writes.

Man, this stuffs just crazy.

Can’t believe its been echoed in the north. My cousin was locked in a pub in Manchester and while there he posted this on facebook:

“Just seen car-jackings, hoodies with plasma tvs and clothes still on hangars. crazy”

“got knocked over by riot police when i turned a wrong corner, they were storming a bunch of lads”

And as if the confirmation of the countries vast decline wasn’t confirmed:

“Tonight i’m more disappointed in the hypocrites in the pub (on the outskirts of manchester city centre, prob the only one open) who condemned the looting but then were the frst ones to buy the loot as the idiots came by with the iphones etc. couldn’t believe what i was seeing.”

and this is probably the adults… the “less broken” generation… got to say I am DAMN LUCKY to have not been brought up in the conditions that mess a person up like this… my towns far from pretty but it doesn’t have half the drama of the big Citys…

LOL

anywho.

So the shooting death of Mark Duggan is what started all this?

Whole thing seems pretty shady to me.

I’ve just learnt a 16 year old girl beating by the police during the peaceful protest sparked the riots.
So there the police shot a suspect under very suspicious circumstances and pretenses, there is a peaceful protest, and the police beat a 16 year old girl at it, then violence broke out?

Brilliant.

Sad state of affairs indeed.

Yeah. I wasn’t even aware of the girl’ beating until tonight. Meh, I don’t usually follow the news. I’ve assumed some troublemakers decided to turn up at the peaceful protest, like some fuckers always do, to clash with the police.

Seems to me the police have no one but themselves to blame for the initial protest.

This bullshit that came later with bored youth looting just to loot, thats just retarded.

Four years ago in Tallinn it was the same. Russians complaining that they were taking their Bronze Soldier away…so they protested by looting alcohol shops. Some Estonians also joined them in the “Loot for Protests”.

They take away any credibility.

X2. Had to leave work in farringdon early yesterday because some idiot posted on Twitter that Hatton Gardens (the main diamond suppliers in London) were being targeted next. Fortunately they didnt get anywhere near because of the massive police presence.

Enoch Powell was right.

Pretty sure thats bullshit.

Some news online. Some sources said she approached them to ask for answers, others said she threw a rock at them and was set upon by up to 15 cops. I’ve got the feelings the UK media kept it pretty quiet to give the police a break.
