London Riots

My local area in North London which, has been one of the hardest hit over the past 3 nights, is now being ‘patrolled’ by a group of 100+ guys protecting homes/businesses in case the rioters come back tonight. (9.30pm here)

LOL

anywho.

So the shooting death of Mark Duggan is what started all this?

Whole thing seems pretty shady to me.

Apparently so, yes. The thing is that in any country, there are underlying issues that will come out in situations like this. Remember the LA riots? I highly doubt many of those individuals were looting and rioting as a result of the treatment of Rodney King. More so a built up anger over police abuse, racism and maltreatment

You gonna help out too? Id probally be angry as shit too if I saw my home being razed by a bunch of fuckheads.

It’s quiet at the moment. Things are mostly happening in the north of the country (Manchester/Liverpool/Midlands).

Police & Politicians are getting a bit of a battering in the media. My mate is a copper (Policeman), and he doesn’t think it will end tonight.

Huge police and millwall supporters presence in Eltham. Pretty sure the police are there because the millwall boys are there though. Millwall supporters are just partolling, same as southall and enfield. Its fantastic to see.

Man do I despise people like that.

Hope y’all Brits stay safe through all this shit…

Uh, how about some self help? Like a shop owner sits in his shop with a shot gun?

It’s not like these rioters are going to grow up to be useful citizens. Just kill some of them and the rest will scatter like the cowardly roaches that they are.

Or have they completely disarmed the law-abiding citizens such that only criminals are armed?

The real question now seems to be how they are going to get punished…even IF they are so concerned with the wellbeing of those ‘poor little kids’, I think that getting charged will probably do THEM more good than not!

I would personally gather all angry people that want to defend the city…give them shields and bats and unleash them, lol. Can’t beat that

Basically…yes, handguns were made illegal after the dunblane shooting, it’s really hard to own a firearm here at all unless you are a countryman or deer shooter.
And yes what that means is that it is only criminals that own handguns.

I wanted to learn to shoot and the only option open the time was to fly over to the US and go to blackwater to train, unfortunately as it worked out that trip never happenned.

Wow… the most popular item sold on amazon.co.uk today: Baseball bats. Sales up to 34,000%(edit)

Me think vigilantes are holding one of those at this instant.

AWWW YEAH!

Notorious fans of a football team over here. They (rightly or wrongly) have the reputation of being the most violent fans in the country. It would be very interesting to see what would happen if any of these teenagers got involved with that lot.

They are hardcore granted, but for tonight at least, they are hardcore in a good way. Understandably the police are following, as they are all chanting football songs lol.

Just an update guys…

The police are doing a fantastic job, just been out patrolling our local streets and the police are everywhere, and i mean EVERYWHERE. We saw some small groups, but they were being followed by the police.

I very much doubt there will be any clashes tonight. It would be impossible.

I’ve just learnt a 16 year old girl beating by the police during the peaceful protest sparked the riots.
