the beer served will be Shit!
This would have been the perfect opportunity to showcase british local beers and wines to the world - actually generate some new international business to help get us out of this recession.
but no, Heineken - one of the blandest beers ever - paid a couple of million and now no other beer is allowed on site.
fuck LOCOG, fuck this Governement
I read somewhere that Europeans are following suit with America’s macrobrew popularity… with more and more Europeans opting for a Budweiser rather than a [better] local brew. Anheuser-Busch inBev will own us all one day - they already own something crazy like 80-90% of the beer market in the USA.
A ton of awesome beer styles (Pale ales, IPA’s, Nut browns, bitters, milds, porters, etc) all originated in England… it would be a damn shame if England got taken over by Anheuser-Busch.
its a shame, because it’s always the non-mainstream beers that are the best
I really like Goose Island, Blue Moon and Sera Navada from the US
The Blue Moon summer ale is one of the best ive had, it’s got some honey flavor to it; look for the yellow packaging. Sierra Nevada IPA is one of the best.

this what the freakin’ MASCOTS look like!
When i first saw the mascots on the tv, i thought it was an advert for toothpaste. I wonder if they’ll bring in a beat the shit out of the mascot event? I’d like tickets to that.
ps: I’m from the southeast, not far from the hogs back brewery.
