Hey, you still throwing? Last I saw was when you were learning the spin for shot, back in may 2014. I am also a thrower (M60 in a couple months). I quit logging here cause I seemed to be the only thrower left.

Hi Sir,

I’ve been away from throwing since then (it feels like longer tbh) Debated a new log, but didn’t feel like writing an intro, sorry to be misleading. I am starting to feel the call again somewhat, it may be something I get back into in 2017, I had far too many obligations and lacked the physical body + resources to be any good let alone elite at throwing, I needed to get away for the time being.

I do T, F, Y raises with plates in the morning at work when I need to get away from my desk- work on my long neglected small raising muscles and terrible grip strength. I think I strained or pinched something this morning, as a few minutes after doing them my neck had some discomfort and weakness set in. It was hard to raise my head above where my focus of vision was slightly below straight ahead. It improved slightly when I got off work so I figured I would go to the gym get loose and at least curl or something. Really crowded and no way I was going to deadlift but there was a bench open. Got loose and dialed in real slow.

Things felt heavier than weds but moved well through 225. 240 got a little sticky so I went for 247 instead of 255, 247 was better and I wanted to best last week so I jumped to 252. Hit a little slow spot halfway but overall not a true grind, I think I left a few pounds in the tank. I’ll take it after spending the day concerned I might have to take some time off. Felt decent with the bench adrenaline, better yet with a shower worked up to very hot but nowhere close to 100% head ROM. Hopefully I can hoop tomorrow and Deadlift on weds.

Took a long time trying to get loose, never found a good groove. Rep 1 and rep 4 was work every set. On the 4th on the 7th had ass come off the bench making sure i locked out.
