Local Dr's Scared (Rant)

I was seeing the Perth GP that stopped prescribing this year, since ive seen two drs who both did a heap of blood work and then frooze in process and wanted to refer me to other non mens health specialists.

Im a 45yr old 70kg male with over a decade of blood work (from my autoimmune) yet no one seems willing to write a script even tho the evidence of old and new blood work is right in front of them.

Has anyone had any luck locally?

Hey mate,

Here in WA as well and have gone through the exact same process you are (Probably the same doctor that’s stop prescribing).

It’s going to be extremely difficult to find a GP that will prescribe it as they are normally terrible at understanding any of this. This has been the experience that I and several other friends have had here locally in Perth.

Your next best bet could potentially be a Men’s Health clinic, a lot of them are based over on the east coast but that is what I’ve done and it’s been an excellent experience so far.

GPs typically will refer you to an Endo and even if you were lucky enough to get attention from either doc the protocol they will put you on will likely be sub par. Find a pay as you go hormone clinic.

Cheers mate, Yeh I am looking at that idea. So many online and ive been apprehensive without knowing someone that’s used a firm successfully, slippery slope the online world

Looking like the best option at this point, cheers

I’ve just joined Enhanced Men’s Clinic. they have been great so far and very professional.
I do miss the PBS prices, but there is just like zero chance that a GP will even touch any TRT patients in our state.
