Living at 7k Elevation on TRT. Increased Hematocrit?

Hey all, I live at 7k elevation and I’m on trt pellets. 6 month supply is 200x5 200mg and 2x100 mg mix. This is my second dose and so far I’m absolutely thrilled the with results ;

Age 43, weight 202-209 lbs
Testosterone Before: 555.33 After: 1116 8 months after 1st dose: 596
Hematocrit Before :50.1 After :52.5
I’ve set some life time strength PRs and the erections are just fucking awesome.

My concern is the hematocrit… has anyone else had levels like this? My Hematocrit was a bit high before TRT. Anyone else live at such elevation that can chime in?

Effects of Living at Higher Altitudes on Mortality: A Narrative Review

Living at higher altitudes seems to be associated with lower mortality from cardiovascular diseases, stroke and certain types of cancer.

We have guys living at altitude we have started on TRT with that hematocrit.

My hematocrit runs at or above 56% on TRT and even my doctors aren’t concerned, they seem more concerned by hemoglobin as it related to blood clotting.

There is no evidence that thicker blood on TRT causes blood clots, usually there is some underlying condition that causes the blood to clot.

Actually I think a hematocrit of 52.5% is low for someone living at high altitude.

Interesting article @highpull. So perhaps I’m jumping to conclusions with the hematocrit. I have given blood post pellets (it’s just a nice thing to do anyway, red cross needs blood).

No big deal

One thing I’ve noticed, and I do not have a whole lot of guys at altitude, is hct generally does not increase much when it is already elevated prior to starting TRT.
