Little Hercules on 20/20

For those who may be interested, “Little Hercules” will be on 20/20 tonight on ABC at 10pm EST:

Not really a fan of Little Hercules, but I do occasionally enjoy John Stossel’s work.

“On the outside, Richard seemed on top of the world. But in an interview with “20/20’s” Bill Ritter, Richard describes the sad story of an isolated boy denied a childhood by a controlling and abusive father.”

This is the point I was making the last time the topic of “Little Hercules” came up. I think there is far more to this story than meets the eye. Let me think, who else was denied a childhood and grew up to be very weird: Michael Jackson comes to mind.

Parents like this need to learn that their children were not put on this earth in order to increase their (the parents) income!

Wow, I really had no idea what the piece was even about. Poor little bastard. At least it looks like this kid isn’t going to end up like Michael Jackson did since his deadbeat father is behind bars where he belongs. Plus, he seems to have a good head on his shoulders.

Anyway, did you catch that John Stossel piece on “art” afterwards? Heheheh. Stossel’s the man.

That kid will never develope testicles.

Androgens in his Fruity Pebbles?

Two words for that kid: Genetic Freak!
That kid has got probably 80% of what it takes to become a Mr. Olympia right there! 3x bodyweight bench press? That’s insane! I’m gonna start my kid off in the weight room when he’s two also! (hehe, just kidding on that last one!)

What pissed me off was that that judge ordered the kid not to lift weights again until he turned 16, WTF? He should be able to lift if he wants to, it’s not like he has the domineering father that’s pushing him to do that anymore, it should be his choice. What do the rest of you think?

i didnt watch the interview, but i dont understand how a judge can tell this kid not to do something thats perfectly legal. This judge prob knows nothing about lifting, and who is he to prohibit this kid to lift. And just out of curiosity, what would happen if he does lift anyway?

The judge ruling against him lifting is bullshit. That whole thing should be appealed.

But I doubt it matters anyway. This kid is a genetic FREAK. I’ve seen quite a bit about him, and he’s also very into martial arts, contortion, etc. He could probably take a year at home of doing bodyweight only exercises and come in and bench 600 by the time he’s 16. It’s like he was genetically engineered in a lab.

As far as John Stossel goes, I loved his work especially when “Dr. D” David Schultz smacked his fuckin ear off. Kayfabe, brother, kayfabe…

Can someone give some more info for those of us that didn’t see the show?

I don’t think that’s impressive at all for 12 1/2 years old. Looks like phenomenal hype and that’s about it. I bet he gets beat up constantly in high school as a result of this.
