While I’m sure occasional injuries happen in soccer, you just can’t compare it to the rough and tumble that is football every play. Real football. Man football. Soccer is for weenies and the need to play up it’s toughness equals case in point.

^ haha

Who’s comparing it to American Football?
They are completely different sports for one however you seem to be approaching this on the basis that American Football has more injuries (which I very much doubt), is more hardhitting physically (I agree with this) and is more manly (Which is a homoerotic concept).
So this makes it more of a sport than football? Give me a break.

Sorry no way with this comment.
There have been this season alone over 18 Achilles tendon tears/ruptures.
This past weekend there were three fractures.

Honestly I still don’t even know what the OP is about. I really did get to the soccer bit.
But soccer unanimously sucks and is weak. You need a reference to define weak. Football and rugby fit the bill.
So there you have it. And how about wrestling, it’s an international and ancient sport.
^ in retrospect, probably should have linked a takedown video. I thought I did.

There’s injuries in football every week mate.
Oh sorry are we going by severity of injuries now?
Jesus wept.

Wrestling? Hard as hell however some haters will argue its guys getting up close and groping each other which is GAY (I dont agree with this obviously)
My point is all competitive sport in it’s purest form is manly. Competition is manly.

I thought that was the point.
For the record I played soccer and football both for many, many years.
Also Jesus did weep and died for your drunk Scottish ass. ![]()
It comes down to the integrity of the game. No one in football would ever think of flopping, because it’s just not in the psychology of the game. And say you do for some reason, you will hear it from the fans and your own team. Steelers fans might remember Limas Sweed doing a little acting after dropping an easy touchdown. I don’t think he played a game since then and got run out of town.
Besides the odd unsportsmanlike conduct that goes in any pile or scrum, there is no spitting, talk of rape or other shit that one of the posters described he grew up with, especially in the junior level. Why would you even continue playing a sport that encourages this behaviour? People clearly do not have respect for the integrity of the game. You never see that with football, even though the adrenalin and the emotion that comes with it is tremendous. Sure there are a few bad apples, but its not as bad as with soccer.
I’ve played both sports. Soccer for conditioning purposes with some friends in a league and football because I love it. And I’ve yet to come across a whinier or more prima donna group of “athletes” than soccer players.

I agree competition is manly. Some competitions are just rougher, tougher, meaner and more manly than others however.

But soccer is pretty feminine. Ohhhhhhhhhhhh! I will say again, soccer has some rowdy fucking fans. If they would just film the audience, it would be my favorite sport.

Feminine?
You’ve now got a lingerie american football league for fucks sake.
Yet football is feminine.
Oh my lord.
