Any questions?

And you wonder why we make fun of your gay little game?

So you’ve used some comedy clip to illustrate your point?

I’m sorry but it just isn’t valid.

Diving is a result of the fast flowing nature of the game. It’s taking advantage of the rules. I don’t like it however it’s being turned into an art form by many players.

Europeans see the poetry and art that is contained within football. It reflects our psyche.

Americans like the no brainer, brash, brutality of American Football. It reflects your psyche.

The multi-tiered strategy behind winning a football game does require brute force to execute for sure. You can keep you dancing and prose soccer shit though.

Youre one of the best in the country but you dont start on your team? HORSE SHIT GTFO

LOL relax, mate - I’m just having a little fun.

But to take the argument to it’s logical conclusion, I don’t know of ANY sport where it’s within the rules to hit above the neck (besides boxing/mma/other combat sports). Lot’s of them are fast flowing. Why is it that soccer is the only one who takes the injury faking to this level?

Other more MASCULINE sports, if someone hits you, you take it on the chin and/or hit him back. You don’t fall down crying like a little girl…

Hi buddy,
I know how you feel to be stuck in a team that does not harbour the training philosophies as yourself.
Is it possible to find another team? A team with goalkeeper coaches?

Maybe you should take the initative, and while the team is training with their skill specific drills, you and the other 3 keepers should go off and do some specific goalkeeper training?

These days, even the more amateur clubs have specific goalkeeping training, so Im thinking you should look around for another team if possible.

tweet
why do you always put tweet at the end of your posts? Are you gay? Seriously? This isnt twitter… Did you get picked on a lot as a child?

Seriously though does a sport have to be brutal and hardhitting to qualify as a ‘mans’ sport?

This is a skewered view and seems to appeal to the knuckle draggers.

Walk into a bar in the east end of Glasgow and say footballs ‘gay’. You’ll be lucky to walk out alive.

Say American football is gay however and someone will buy you a pint.

Does this make the sport less valid?

I think not.

I believe the point was made earlier that the fans are tougher than the players.

EDIT: sorry, I HAD to fix the quotes - I’m OCD like that sometimes
Haha yeah mate I catch your drift.

I’m just questioning why people here seem to equate sport with manliness.

All competition is manly.

Of course it is

Most of it’s fans come from the working classes.

The difference is they form part of a mob which is truly more powerful than the individual.

So in that case the comparison is invalid.

If my rugby team and I walked into a bar ANYWHERE in the world and said “soccer (football) is gay”, I PROMISE you we’d be the ones walking out.

I’m not saying the sport is not VALID. It’s popularity says otherwise. I’m just saying that it’s kind of pathetic when a grown man fakes being hurt and falls down moaning in agony when someone’s open hand accidental brushes his shoulder. Here in the good old knuckle dragging US of A, we call that GAY.

LOL you’ve obviously not been to a pub in Glasgow

I agree with your point though. It is PATHETIC to watch a grown man convulse when lightly brushed by an opposing player. This is the result of the high stakes that seem to dominate professional football. Especially in the big leagues and tournaments. Take the playoffs in the English Championships for example. A club can make in excess of £30 million by getting into the premiership. This seems to promote underhand tactics. Say unlike the competitive structure within the NFL where relegation or promotion doesnt exist.

It’s not just the working classes that are rough and tough. I’d be willing to walk into ANY bar ANY where in the world with my rugby team and yell at the top of my lungs that, “soccer (football) is gay”. 90% of them played in college and are professional. I PROMISE you that we’d be the ones walking out just fine…

Yeah so you’ve already said

I’m not implying that the working classes are tougher than most. Not by any means. They are however more likely to resort to rough and tumble than others. My point was more the fact that people become braver in a mob situation therefore you cant say a fan is more tough than a player.

To be fair a well placed kick to the shins can neutralise most men

Haha a shin is a shin anywhere in the world mate. Unless your Tong Po in Kickboxer.

Play Rugby. It’s a manlier descendant of soccer. Sounds like you need it.

I think Soccer is just fucking boring. Who wants to watch a 90 minute game where the score ends up 0-0 half the time? Goals are so rare it seems they happen by chance as much as skill.

Maybe if I understood the nuances of offense and defense and stuff like that I might appreciate it more.
