Lil Power's Training Log

What are those sumo wide deads like?
In other words, how do they work differently? Thanks!

Those bench numbers leave me breathless.

Is this to work your arch? Never thought about doing that.

Good luck if you decide to do the meet this weekend!

MIM, I felt these in glute/hamstring area but closer to adductor area the next day, but also works my hips more.

Ksnap, I’ve work the noodle under my back for arch before, I didn’t think it did much. Working on keeping my blades tight and stable works better for me…this noodle is around the bar…softer than the boards and gives the shoulders a break while able to press more weight. First time I did these and not sure if I got anything from them or not. I’ll have to try once as an ME exercise

DE Upper Tues 7/13/10
DB Bench Press
35’s x 20
40’s x 20

DB Rows
35’s x 20 elbows out
40’s x 20 elbows close

Tates
17.5’s x 20
22.5’s x 20

DB Incline Press
32.5’s x 15
35’s x 15

Facepulls
60 x15
75 x 15

Lat pulldowns
105 x 12
115 x 8
110 x 4

DB Shrugs
50’s x 25
60’s x 20 exercise.

Decided to do the meet on Sat/only bench. Try to get a good meet PR.

Ahh, thanks for clarifying the noodle issue.

Good luck on Saturday! You are amazing!

As a newbie poster (but long-term lurker) I’ve got to say I am speechless over what you (and the other powerlifter women) do. I’ve only been doing back squats and DLs for overall conditioning and as a way to maintain a level of buffness… progressing verrrryyyy slowly in weight. What you guys do is tempting me to go for some real weight.

wtg on your bench PR, I am blown away. Good luck, if you decide to do Saturday.

good luck for tomorrow!

Thanks all…I’ll update you all on Saturday…looking for a new Bench PR…thinking 225-230 sounds really good…

Good luck.
Can’t wait to hear how it goes!

did the (raw) bench only at the meet on Sat.
Weighed in that morning @ 159 on the nose…yea…heading in the right direction to hit the 148 class in a few months…

opened with 200# - 3 white lights
2nd was 220# - 2 white and 1 red…this was the longest bench grinder…
3rd was 225# - got stuck about 1/2" off the chest, the 2nd lift wore me out.

ended up with a 5# meet PR, a year ago I never thought I’d be pressing over 200#, so this chickie is pretty happy with that lift.

Awesome work!
That is super impressive.

that chicky should be happy  I know I would be.

AWESOME!!!
Congrats on the meet and your progress for getting there!!

A 220 bench. This is almost worthy of me typing an emoticon. Congratulations, girly.

^lol!
