Metallica, Van Halen, Guns’n’Roses, some Limp Bizkit, Foo Fighters.
My CD player fits into the front pocket of my sweats (baggies - whatever you call them). On certain exercises, in order to keep it out of the way, I’ll wrap my belt around the headphone cord so that it’s kept close to my body. (By the way, a lot of the “sports” CD players now come with a velcro/plastic strap in the back which will fit around your lifting belt, if you wanted to do that).
I love to listen to electronic music while training, whether it be breaks or trance. The music puts me in a higher state of consciousness (no pun intended).
Man noboby listens to the Deftones? I’m about to go squat and I listening to their “White Pony” album right now. That should be mandatory listening music for every lifter. Much more there than just screaming and riffs. Also, the new System of the Down album “Toxicity” is some of the most original rock out there right now.
