Lifting Music

I’m partial to metal; actual classic metal and not today’s bullshit excuse for metal. But for whatever reason last week I couldn’t get "Metal Thrashing Mad (Anthrax) out of my head, so I’ve been training to Persistence of Time, Fist Full of Metal, etc, and I love it. I know it’s classic metal, but more speed/thrash, and not heavy like I usually groove to. Glad I did it. I also threw in some AC/DC (Back in Black) and Metallica (Ride the Lighting, Garage Days Revisited) because I was feeling nostalgic.

That said, Man O’ War is always a surefire tack for a great training session.

Try some Rammstein also - even if you don’t understand German. Sehensucht and Herzeleid especially. The tempo is right, and the vocals range from a growl to almost ballad-like.

AC/DC, Led Zeppelin & Freddie Gibbs

That’s why the heavy metal singers all sound like Cookie Monster.

NIN, particularly “Mr. Self-Destruct”.

Depends on how I feel that day so I just can’t name one song but I mostly listen to these
-Eminem
-Paramore
-Instrumental music
-Killswitch engage
-Hollywood undead

Ok, so rules for the thread, say whatever you want about your musical tastes and list one song that really gets you in the mood to lift. My choice for today:

I have an eclectic taste in music. Game for anything.

My song is pretty mainstream - Down with the Sickness.

Can you feel that?
Ah, shit
Oh, ah, ah, ah, ah
Oh, ah, ah, ah, ah
oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh
