Just going to toss it out there that I felt like an AssH*le using these weights. Need to remember it’s just the calm before the storm. Need to rest up and get ready for the reps, or the reps will have the last laugh if you let them;)

haha…I hear ya, Meg. It felt weird lifting at these lower numbers after coming off the past few weeks in the Advanced program; however, you’re absolutely right that the higher volume in this Intermediate plan will hit us soon enough (plus the fact that we’ll be squatting 3x/week 'til end of program vs. losing one squat day in the previous one). Remember what Rick said: treat every lift as if it’s your heavy lift and fine-tune form.
Great job today, btw! See ya for boot camp (please be there…I don’t want to be dying on the floor in a pool of sweat without you there to laugh through the pain with me!). LOL!
LOL, Jean, you have a much nicer way of saying what I was feeling and doing a poor job of expressing:) I was going to “clarify” the “assh*le” comment as it was a bit harsh. Thanks
This is a great time to work on form and making good habits into second nature during our lifts. Your deads looked very nice today and it was great to see you front squatting again. It’s so fun to watch you in action!

I am here for the long haul and am in no way trying to hurry the process to get any results. Monday’s lift was just a VERY “light” one after weeks of heavy, and personally satisfying, lifts. So, I guess it just felt funny to be finishing up the day with such light numbers. My body totally needs the break right now and I get that. I just didn’t slow down and word it well.
I really do appreciate the kind words and support from you guys! Input is always welcome! I am still a “newbie” to all of this and consider myself very fortunate to be under Rick’s guidance, and have the incredible group I do, to lift with.
LOl, I knew what you meant, but yea, I understand. Sounds like you girls have such a great support group, that is awesome. I would love the camaraderie as much as the competition
