🚴‍♀️ Lifters Not Lifting (Share Your Hobbies!)

Ooh gardening is one hobby that can serve so many purposes. We do just enough with our yard to not get in trouble with the HOA. But seeing what other people can do is amazing. What’s your favorite thing to plant or watch grow?

I’d love to see your woodcarvings and aquariums too! Wow!

So far my favorite thing to grow is hot peppers. They grow quite well in Florida heat. I have only been doing it the last year and a half so still experimenting. Growing some dwarf moringa I really enjoy this year too.

I forgot to add photos of my hiking pals! We enjoy adventuring on the coast or in the mountains. They do a lot of napping and being a dog “photographer” became my hobby by default. They demand me to keep their Instagram accounts up to date but I’ve been slacking :smirk:

I can relate to that! And they’re so cute, of course you’d need to take tons of pictures of them! ADORABLE.

@Dani_Shugart, @Chris_Shugart - Just wanted to say I’ve been reading articles from you guys for several years now and it’s really cool to “meet” you guys and see more of a presence from you and other coaches on the forums.

Much appreciated. We got so busy there for a while with other T Nation stuff that we neglected the forums. But we’ve refocused, and truthfully, I’d forgotten how fun and informative this community can be. Glad to be “back.”

I use OverDrive Libby through the library and Hoopla too. The library saves me THOUSANDS of dollars! I really don’t know what I’d do without it!

Same! It’s so easy to get a library card too.

I used to use the Libby app too, until my local library started censoring books and took the app away. And yes, all parties that contributed to this absolute nonsense are being sued. The lawyer is in the process of filing whatever (Not sure about the legal jargon here) to get it reinstated. Won’t be a minute too soon for me. I had 100s of books on there. This is a sore subject in my little town.

Traditional style bows are a humbling endeavor. Much Respect!
Modern archery equipment is still a challenge but traditional is on another level.

Awesome drawing! Wolverine might be my favorite “superhero.”

Wow! That’s a great drawing :clap:t3::clap:t3::clap:t3:

That’s amazing! Mind = blown.

I like to go to concerts and operas but for when I can’t go I build my own sound systems: amplifiers, pre-amplifiers, turntables, etc. I used some of what I learned earning my PhD in applied math and mathematical physics to build my own amplifier that uses radio station transmitter vacuum tubes for my main stereo amplifier. (The 833A Single Ended Triode Amplfier - YouTube)
For a time I had trouble with a neighbor who played shitmusic which contaminated my back yard and my home. I built a quadruple microwave horn out of sheet copper and designed using Mathematica software in the university computer system available to me in graduate school and I used magnetrons and power supplies from four 1000 Watt microwave ovens for power. I wore a wire screen suit to protect myself from the radiation and aimed it at his boom box and it caused his boom box to quit working. There were some Hollywood movies about mad scientists using microwaves as weapons and this helped keep them from being believed f they complained to the police. Eventually the shitmusic bully got convicted of molesting a little girl and was sent to prison for 15 years and the statute of limitations for livng the life of Dr. mad scientist has passed.
