šŸš“ā€ā™€ļø Lifters Not Lifting (Share Your Hobbies!)

Sounds like an awful lot of work just to kill a boombox. Where I come from there are easier ways.
Did you build your own faraday suit/ cage ?

To me you are a (super)hero! Any other stories you haven’t told us?

Nowadays it must be easier to hi-jack the bluetooth connection. I tried to do that to my noisy neighbour, to replace his shitmusic with deathmetal - unsuccessful unf.

It was, but building such a thing as a hobby gave me some pleasure.

Another reason I developed this is I am autistic and at autism conferences I met many autistic people who were bullied by people cranking up their unwanted music into the privacy of their victims’ homes. The law refused to help them. I made Faraday suits out of wire screening from the hardware store.

I’m coming in a little late in the game here but here’s a quick peek of my non-lifting life.

Biking: Mountain, Road, Dirt - I don’t discrimate. #bikeitandlikeit

Gardening: This is this years project in progress. #getdirty

Hiking/Backpacking/Climbing and all other things back country! I’ve summited all of Colorado’s 58 14ers (peaks exceeding 14,000 feet), quite a few 13ers and 12ers too. I’ve also been to the top of Texas (Guadalupe Peak), South Dakota (Black Elk Peak), Wyoming (Gannett Peak) and made a valiant effort to get my butt up Mt Rainer in Washington. The photo below is from last summer’s 5 day, 75+ mile backpacking trip on the Pacific Crest Trail. #gethighordietrying

Non-picture hobbies: I’ve never met an audiobook or puzzle I didn’t like. And because I’m still a kid at heart - coloring, like box of Crayolas coloring.

Late in the game but I was able to revive my photography since I can afford a decent camera now. Here’s a few of my latest ones

Look how green it is there!!! So jealous. Everything looks amazing. And yes, we see those quads peeking out.

This entire story is nothing but left turns and I find it amazing.

Green now - but we’re in for a week of no rain and temps in the high 90’s, so summer is coming!! I will say that when I lived in TX I referred to it as ā€œthe suburb of Hellā€. It gets hot here too - but what y’all deal with is just dumb! lol

The pain….
This happened my freshman year in uni. There were the most obnoxious girls and the RAs wouldn’t help.
I went tit for tat and banged on their doors at 6am.
It worked surprisingly well

Another time, some drunk idiots decided to have a party right in the street outside of the sorority house. I actually called the police. That didn’t work

This isn’t every weekend on campus?

nope

Keep in mind what school I go to.

Technically, there’s quiet hours. this was towards the end of the semester. had been great up until that point

I busy myself with music – I frequently attend concerts and engage with the music community. I can kill so much time at home watching interviews from my favorite artists. I also practice foreign languages and read a lot. I blog sometimes but not as much as I would like. Same with hiking, especially because I don’t have a car and, unlike many other T-Nation members, don’t live near cool hiking opportunities.

I also take photos from time to time.

Great pics! Always a little jealous of the great photographers here. Always felt I had ā€œthe eyeā€ but never picked up all the technical know-how.

I think bluetooth is close enough to 2.4 gHz for a microwave attack to work. Oven magnetrons put out 2.45 gHz. At close range about 10 feet through a typical wall it will burn out a stereo.

This is such an epic story, it should be part of a movie. Getting neighbors to quiet down is a super power. And your other hobbies are cool too! Lifters who enjoy the opera are probably pretty rare.

That’s a great pic and so is the fishing one! Cool hobbies.
