First duck in South Carolina for me. Green wing teal. Not used to hunting with such low numbers, but I was happy just to get something.
Finally got my bike back out today. After the wreck I installed a new axle, chain, freewheel, crankset and had to true the rear wheel. Decided to dump the front derailleur and go to a single front chainring. Gearing is a little tall and I ended up having to push more than Iâm used to. Going to switch to a 30t front chainring, should do the trick. If not gonna help build my puny quads. ![]()

Since you are a Spawn fan:
Todd McFarlane is doing a signing event at CGC for their signature series - people sent in over 32 thousand books for him to sign (I sent one in).
I did some rough math and thatâs at least 13 full days of doing nothing but signaturesâŚ
So i learned how to crochet:
âloveyâ blanket for my new nephew (5 months old). Itâs folded in half here and definitely looks like a bit of a beginner job (late rows look much better/tighter than start rows).
Itâs an oddly relaxing hobby.
Very nice!!!
It is! My granny tried to teach me when I was young and I wasnât having any of it. I saw something on IG I wanted to make and ended up enjoying it way more than I thought I would. Be careful though, youâll end up with skeins of all different kinds of yarn
.
I even bought some Tunsian crochet hooks.
I can already see this being a potential issue.
I miss when movies were fun like that one.
More of the crochet stuff. This guy started as âmoth manâ from a pattern in a amigurummi book. Morphed into âEye Bugâ (as my daughter named it)
Nice set up, my first âproperâ mountain bike 17/18 years ago was a Giant XTC, just a cross country hardtail similar looking frame to yours there. Long before single chain ring was a viable option on geared bikes.
Briefly rode their 29er ten years later but I just didnât get on with it⌠If I was to get back on a bike again now your set up looks ideal.
I just got back into it after a 15 year layoff myself. Last bike was a 2000 ish giant iguana. The bike I have now is a talon 4. It was a 2x 7, but I did a ghetto 1x conversion to a single chainring. I value having less stuff to break, than more gadgets. Plus it keeps cost down.
Next Iâve been eyeballing a full rigid, single speed. You know, to make things as uncomfortable as possible
.
Dooooo it. I love my single speed. Iâve been toying with the idea of a rigid fork for it as well.
Pure riding âfun.â But the âfunâ turns into funny when you watch your friends try to figure out how you made it up that climb, but they didnât.
I loved the simplicity of my old single speed, but that soon became an inconvenience when I would puncture mid commute in the dark and rain and would mess about with a spanner just to take a back wheel out, to then faff about aligning it back in.
Rigid hardtail mountain biking is a great tool to learn to descend with with not having a suspension to rely on, makes for a good forearm workout too!
Super old video, I think I was still in Highschool lol. I donât street perform as much these days because of work but back then I used to plug into any open outlet I could find at malls, parks etc. got kicked out alot haha. I still try and practice at least a few hours a week. I have an old Fender Squier Straocaster that is about 10 years old and a Fender Player Stratocaster that I bought last year. I am planning on buying a new amp eventually, I really would like a Vintage Fender Vibroverb or a used American Stratocaster. Both are dummy expensive though.
I am a huge fan of Blues Rock. Stevie Ray Vaughan and Gary Moore are two of my idols. There is two new guys, Christone Kingfish Ingram and Popa Chubby that are freaking talented too.
This rips.
Christone Kingfish Ingram is amazing.
