It’s more like an abusive relationship, where she beats me all the time but I keep going back for more.

Dear God how my triceps wer blasted at this point.
Believe it or not you can actually use the SSB for JM Presses. I think Harry Selkow has a video on EFS where he shows you how to do it. It looks silly, but apparently works well.
Nova, I don’t want my wife to think I’m not grateful for her purchase. Of course I’m going to use the shit out of it! I also really think it’s going to bring my squat up a lot (I hope, at least). Quads don’t usually get worked when I squat, but they hurt so good after SSB squats and my erectors are getting a lot stronger too, which should keep me upright more easily.
Wiggles, sorry man didn’t mean to 1up anyone (haha, bullshit, if I can outdo anyone, I’m going to!)

Last nights session got AFU, so after squats I called it. Trying to train with the kids running around is bad enough, but when they need to be fed and it isn’t happening, training isn’t happening either, lol.

That’s it. I’m doing a 5k fun run on Saturday morning, so I will do my next deadlifting session either tomorrow night, or Saturday afternoon when I get back home. Smart thing would probably be tomorrow, but we’ll see what happens. I’m doing the run with my wife and her friend, and I figure it’ll be fun and a good way to get my feet wet with an obstacle course run since I’m doing a Tough Mudder in October. I should probably start training for it…but meh…how hard can it be?
Here’s the one I’m doing Saturday
Also going out of town for several days in the beginning of June for my daughters birthday, which will throw training off a little. Not ideal when prepping for a meet, but there’s no way I’m messing up her bday this year. Last year, I missed it as I was in Africa (took a warthog and wildebeest on her birthday, actually) so this year I’ll be all about it.

5k was easy. Over advertised I think, because it wasn’t nearly as foamy or muddy as we were expecting, still came out trashed an the end though, which was fun.
Came home, wanted to make up what I’ve missed lately, so I did the bench portion of Wednesdays session and the rest of the pulling session from yesterday…
Bench
135x10
175x4
205x4x2
230x3x2
250x1
280x0 Too big of a jump. Gotta get my bench moving, damnit. Perhaps some conjugate method shit needs to come back in the mix, now that I have a greater grasp on weaknesses.
SSB Box squat to bench (high)
