Lift With Intensity

Last night, did some more screwing around with weights, without wearing myself down for tomorrow.

Push Press
135x5
160x3
185x1
210x0/1
225x0x3 *Really wanted to hit this PR here, but just wasn’t happening. Next time I go for it, I’ll get it though. Not sure when that’ll be, since I rarely do it, haha.

DB Flyes
5x10

GMs
5x5

Pinwheel curlz
3x12

Dips
5x8

Tried to throw in what I left out from the last #29 session. Feeling good. Looking forward to benching/squatting heavy tomorrow.

1/7 Training @ Thorbecke’s

'Twas epic. This gym is exactly what you’d expect to find in the late 60’s, when in opened, with the addition of damn near every specialty bar you can imagine. If it wasn’t an hour commute, I’d train there every day. Yesterday’s session went very well, I’m pleased with it.

Sheiko #29 W1D1

Paused Bench
155x5
185x4x2
210x3x2
225x3x5
Off program
255x1 Easy
275x1 PR Tie, went up pretty smoothly
285x0 Without the previous work sets, I would have nailed this bitch. Vid for fail lulz

Squat
175x5
205x5x2
240x5x5
Off program
275x1 Easy
315x1x2 Hard as hell, lol
*Squat bar had deep knurling, felt good. Form felt decent. Working with someone who knows what to look for helps. Corrected a little “dip” I was doing at the bottom of the rep, feelsgoodman.jpg

Bench
155x5
185x5
205x4x4
All paused and easy breezy

SSB Box Squats (65#bar)
Barx5
155x2
205x2
245x2 Vid
265x2

Vid still processing, might not work yet…

Reverse Hyper (Yeah, they had one!)
45x5x5

Tried a GHR, that they had, but NO WHEY was that happening.

Abs
3x10

Very pleased with that session. I will be back there again.

Did Heracles say HellBent?

I believe he owes me money for that.

Amonia is awesome. You should just drink the stuff under your sink though.

Couple of pics of the fine establishment

Nice rack

Awesome looking gym, even more awesome lifting.

Careful Rockula, i might have to use rapeaxx on you. Lol j/k

Nah, but i do need to thank you for posting the gothminster stuff. I like some of their songs.

Ink that is cool that you got to train there. When i was able to train once a week at my friends gym over this last summer i found it really helpful. Not practical most of the time, but can work well on a limited basis say once a week.

Solid lifting man. I think the 285 would’ve got got if you were a little tight and had more rebound from your lats. No worries though.

Thanks guys, and yeah Spar, I’m pretty sure I could have gotten that bastard if I wasn’t worn out already. Next time though…next time!

Feeling pretty beat up today, just in time for a deadlift session tonight, bring it!

Walked 30 min this AM

A powerlifter that can walk for 30?

Id you take a chair with you to take breaks?

I took these guys, and sat on them when I needed to catch my breath, so…every 8 yards or so. Sprints…am I doing them right?

I think you might want to add saddle bags so you can store cheetos and meximelts in them…for recovery between those long distance sprints.

Well I’m definitely not an undercover bodybuilder like DF.

Undercover Brother, is more like it

that reference alone earns you the title

You got two damn good lookin’ dogs. Killer progress in here bud.

LOL, thanks Spar. I earned my Hood Pass last year, as Rock was gracious enough to sponser me when I impressed him with all of my hood-like references I’d drop in his log. Undercover Brother is a funny ass movie, stupid-funny, which is right up my alley, LOL

WhiteFlash, thanks man, on both accounts. The dogs were fostered, but it looks like we’ll probably be keeping them. Foster failures, you could say. The progress, never ending.
