Lift Like a Girl

Who was moron enough to tell you not to lift heavy?

Maybe that’s why ddot needs to get his shoulder looked at.

And Court, the proper response if a guy tells you not to lift heavy is, “Heavy? This is a warm up set. If you think that’s heavy go back to your stairmaster. Oh yeah, and check the lost and found for a set of balls on the way out, apparently your’s are disfunctional.” Only I’m sure you could make it much more colourful.

Now go apologize to ddot.
I’m totally stealing this comeback - breaking their ego and making them cry is far more gratifying than breaking their noses and making them bleed.

I would just like to say that I hate AV, Polo, Ouro, PMPM, tmoney, Doug and Kevin.

I laughed my ass off when it popped up on my facebook highlights, but I still hate all of you.

From APT - they come with or without velcro, 2 meter.

What’s the over-under on when these are ordered by Court?
Meh…I’ve actually seen those before. The yellow wouldn’t go with the outfit though. My ideal wraps would be black with just the small pink lines. Or even black/pink like my current black/blue ones. Going fully pink wraps is too much even for me.

Can you get black ones and then just get your name embroidered in pink on them? One could say Evil and the other Bitch. It would be adorable.

This is definitely a thread on “lifting like a girl”.

Hilarious. Keep up the good work. :stuck_out_tongue:

okay… so… are there special socks for lifting or you go old school knee highs?

All they have to be are knee high socks for deadlifts. Some use soccer socks, some order “deadlift” socks from Titan/Metal/etc, some use dress socks. If I still had my old knee socks from my catholic schoolgirl days I’d totally rock those. Instead, I have the black with pink stripes

Hahaha it doesn’t help that I’m in my last few days before a meet so I haven’t been training. I swear there will be more training and less clothing, socks and colorful accessory talk soon

I am definitely ready! I’m dying to get out there already. Aras has my body all fixed up and I’m good to go.

Last night however I had something happen to me that would only ever happen to me. I went to watch my co-ed soccer team play since I wasn’t doing anything this week. There was about 2min left in the game and I saw that my best friend’s phone had fallen out of her bag. I stood up, bent over to pick it up and put it back away. In the half second that I was bent over, a line drive ball came and hit me in the head. It hit me in the left half of my forehead and essentially twirled me over so I landed on my right side. I was out for about 10 seconds.

Thankfully my best friend is also a PT so she took care of me. We got one of the guys to drive my car home because she wasn’t letting me do it. Apparently I was white with a green tinge to me. I had all the initial fun of headache, dizziness and blurred vision to indicate a mild concussion. She tested my motor skills when she got me back to my house and her and my mother laughed at me. I feel better today, but have a lingering headache and a bump on my forehead.

As one of the guys pointed out to me…this will just make me even more crazy to do stupid things on the platform. “Do stupid things” is one of the older guy’s mottos… apparently Monday he arrived to training late and squatted 2 plates cold for 5 reps in his running shoes. I’m hoping he’s able to make it on Saturday. My fingers have been crossed all week!

So yeah, that’s my story. Feel free to laugh. I’m pretty sure when I told a few of the Niagara guys they all just about peed their pants. I love them too.

Made my morning better … hahaha … Glad you’re feeling ok though … looking forward to hearing stories from you meet buddy rather than stories of balls hitting you in the head (typical … nttawwt)

Glad you are OK! Maybe you should wear purple and green to match the bump on your forehead?
