Short term would be a 385 lb dead and 155 ohp – my previous PRs were 315 and 135 respectively.
I’ll chase weight on DL and overhead; I could care less what I bench or back squat.
I have a push, DL, pull and “squat” day. For push/DL it’s an explosive superset, followed by a giant set w the main move, then an assistance giant set.
Maybe triple progression on the main move
Yeah jeez that would suck.
True but both of us have the intention that this is only temporary
6/10
Front backpack weighted stair walk: +17 ish lbs, 30 min
This was more taxing than I was expecting, exactly what I wanted. I walked up and down the two flights of stairs in my house w a backpack on my front side (w a calc textbook and 2 5 lb plates) for 30 min
*On second thought, exactly except for mildly aggrivating my right foot – I pulled a mid-foot muscle while sprinting about a month.5 ago and it hasn’t fully healed
5 rounds
Incline pushups: x15
Zercher med ball squat: x15, 50 lb ball
Explosive chop: x5/side, 2 micro minis | I tried out a 25 lb plate instead on the last set and spun myself around like a top lol
3 rounds
One leg db rdl: x12/side, 65 lbs
Vertical jump: x4 | Tried short depth jumps instead on the last round
2 rounds
Lunge: x20/side
Plank: 180, 120 sec
Why planks? Some of my friends are having a competition to see how long we can do over X timeframe (also pushups, walking, etc). Annd also to be able to beat the person I’m seeing in a plank competition
6/24 Pull
3 rounds
Face pulls, banded lat pulls: x10, 1 micro mini/side
Meadows row: x12, thin bar + 55 lbs
4 rounds
Straight arm pull: x10
Ring pull ups: x5 | 30 ish sec between these
Notes
Right shoulder still feels a bit weird/loose
I was moving pretty slowly today
I like these rows since they’re one of the few movements I can get a legit back pump with. That being said, they also somewhat beat up my back (or my anti-rotation sucks)
Meh, it’s harder than you’d think bc the stakes are lower. Even if you want to go to grad school, GPA matters much less than it did for undergrad admissions, especially in the hard sciences
