Life Expectancy on Exogenous Testosterone

Life expectancy on exogenous testosterone with trt doses starting at age of 36? This is to assume no accidental deaths or cancer etc. I know its a complex question with many factors that pertain to an early death but would like to get some input on trt in the long term. Thanks guys.

Honestly, there are so many variables that can affect this, I’m not sure you could get a definitive answer. Moreover, i think any answer that has some weight to it is still going to be wildly inaccurate and person-dependent.

I do believe that being on TRT long term has shown health benefits in some departments, while it could detract from others (situation dependent). If you were to stay within a ā€˜normal’ range of TT and fT, I’d imagine very little deviation from standard life expectancy. Of course, its not like a doc will come up on your deathbed saying ā€œtoo bad, you could’ve lived another 10 years and 3 months longer had you not been on TRTā€.

A previous study published in JAMA in 2009 showed that men with a Total T levels below 550 ng/dL had significant increase in their risk of cardiovascular disease, while men with levels above 550 ng/dL reduced their risk by 30%.

Differential effects of 11 years of long-term injectable testosterone undecanoate therapy on anthropometric and metabolic parameters in hypogonadal men with normal weight, overweight and obesity in comparison with untreated controls: real-world data

However, there currently is no credible evidence that T therapy increases CV risk and substantial evidence that it does not.

Yeah thats very true and at the end of the day i think for the long term we are all just guinea pigs anyways. Have you heard anyone being on trt for 50+ years?

Lol. Lets say within the medical systems normal ranges.

Perfect thanks, at least that puts my mind at ease a bit.

I have high blood pressure have had it since i was 16-17 years old its under control with medications but still higher than it should be. I average 135-140/70-80 with meds.

Test injections have been around for about 70 years but protocol has changed dramatically within that timeframe. There probably are some folks that have been on for 50+ years, but…

I feel compelled to ask, are you overweight? Im imagining you’re in your late 20s, early 30s (because 50 year olds dont ask about what’ll happen to them in 50 years/obvious reasons) and with lifelong high blood pressure - you’re likely overweight… please correct me if I’m wrong. I’m asking because if you are significantly overweight (lets say >= 25%BF), your symptoms can be much improved by losing that weight.

Nelson Vergil, the founder of Excel Male and Discount Labs has been on TRT for over 40+ years.

He is 100% shut down now, LH 0.

The normal ranges keep going down as there is a generational decline in testosterone, we need to focus on what’s healthy and not so much what’s considered normal.

A gene CAG repeats 24> with normal testosterone is considered a state of hypogonadism, yet not all doctors diagnosing patients are aware or properly educated on the subject of male hormones or is it taught in traditional medical schools.

You have to be your own advocate and realize doctors don’t know everything.

Im 35 turning 36 next month. I will upload a couple headless photos of myself lol i am not sure how much body fat i have but i was skinnier in my early 20s, 150-160 lbs with high blood pressure even then.
I am currently 217 lbs. At 5’7" i lost about 30 pounds last year but have gained it back since then. I work 7 days a week 5 of those days are 10-14 hours a day and the other 2 is 6-8. I dont get time off well at least for another few months, so i havent been working out lately. Its a very labour intensive job so it doesnt leave me with much at the end of the day.

Vergel not Vergil. He didnt start trying therapeutic AAS until 1992. 2022 minus 1992 equals?

Come on Dude, step it up after all these years.

Post you pre TRT labs. Drop your waist to height ratio < 0.5. Use reasonable TRT if you need it. You will be fine (maybe). Let me know if we need Monte Carlo simulations run.

Pre trt i was ranging from a tt of 365-500 and a FT from 7.8-8.4.

Im not looking to abuse this in any way i just want my symptoms resolved and that is all i care about. So far it has been a blessing on my mental health

Studies show no decrease in longevity by returning TT to normal levels. I’d still look both ways before crossing the street tho

Going on 30 yrs , due to medical issue started when I was around 14 . I know there is no way to be sure but as healthy as I have ever been . Got some cholesterol issues to fix but other than that trt has been a life saver

Since 1971 I had been either cycling AAS or on TRT, with the exception of a period from 1997 to 2003, where I took nothing. I have been on TRT since 2003.
