When you took the time off of taking anything for 6 years, obviously you felt like crap but what were your t levels at the time?
Man Iāve tried it all and can honestly say 99 % of any problems have generally been caused by over thinking , Iāve settled on 2 injections a week totaling 230 mg give or take . My total generally is around 1200 with my free around 250 , I have changed doses countless times trying to fix one thing or another and this is where I feel the best
Iām fortunate to have a doc that will work with symptoms and not numbers , that has been the biggest help on this journey
I felt like crap because I was fighting dermatamyositis. That took me out of competitive bodybuilding. I lost 40lbs of muscle in 5 weeks. Low T wasnāt even on the RADAR.
I got on TRT because my Total Testosterone tested low (270ng/dL). I never felt bad. I wanted to get āsomeā of my strength and muscle back.
As long as I have lived I never felt the symptoms of Low T that many here talk about.
Wow 250 ft hey with a total of 1200 does that mean your shbg is super low than to have a free t that high? Either way if you feel good thats awesome!
Ive been using the scrotal cream application and just started trt 2 weeks ago. Im really loving the effects trt cream has but it is getting somewhat annoying to apply twice a day, im just finding it hard to find the time since im working so much. Lol.
Thanks for the comments its been nice to hear from someone who has been on trt for as long as you have.
Thats rough man to lose 40 lbs in muscle in 5 weeks is insane. Hope your doing well now though. Does that disease or whatever it is go away, or is it something you have to live with constantly?
Thats pretty good though not having any symptoms of low t. Technically i dont have clinical low t levels (365-500tt)and (7.8-8.4 ft) but the symptoms i have say something different i guess and trt has been really helping in many aspects so far. So i guess it will be a life long journey for me.
Thanks for the comments man its appreciated!
I went through a few years suppressing my immune system with Medrol and trying to wean off, only for it the flare up again. I then was chosen for a test of Retuxan which did the trick.
I only recovered about 60% of my strength, but still felt like a victory, considering how weak I had become.

Defining āHealthyā Testosterone
Multiple peer-reviewed papers state that ātestosterone deficienciesā are more prevalent and ādesirable testosteroneā levels in men are actually much higher than what is currently being considered as ānormalā in doctorsā practices across the country. Case in point: A cross-sectional study of Swedish men ages 69 to 80 years showed the risk for premature death from any cause and the risk for suffering a major cardiovascular event were inversely correlated with the total serum testosterone concentration (i.e., the higher the testosterone levels, the lower the risk of death).
Specifically with regards to cardiovascular events, men in the highest quartile of testosterone (at or higher than 550 ng/dL) had a lower risk of cardiovascular events compared with men with lower testosterone.
More importantly, details from this study show that it did not matter if a manās total testosterone was very low (below 340 ng/dL ) or moderately low (up to 549 ng/dL ) ā all men with T levels below 549 ng/dL had a similar increased risk for suffering a cardiovascular event. Only when total testosterone exceeded 550 ng/dL did cardiovascular risk drop.
This is truly alarming, as cardiovascular disease is the No. 1 killer of men in the United States and even more ā this study was published in the Journal of the American College of Cardiology. These researchers documented a 30 percent reduction in cardiovascular events as well as a decrease in cerebrovascular disease incidence. Men with the highest total testosterone had a 24 percent reduced risk of transient ischemic attack or full-blown stroke. Clearly, based on this study, the only target for āhealthy testosteroneā is to maintain total testosterone at or above 550 ng/dL.
Yeah man of course its a win! Sounds like it could have been much worse. Thanks for posting.
I think 60% in his case might be pretty good. IIRC, in his competitive days he had a bench press north of 450 lbs.
I wonder what happened to the advice and thousands of articles written about boosting testosterone naturally through weight training and heavy core exercises. But apparently this thing doesnāt help or if it does it is extremely insufficient and cannot improve the levels to normal parameters. Because if itās the other way around, men will just train hard and constantly and their problem will be solved. And many of them both train seriously and apply therapy, without which the hormone will drop significantly.
