License to Reincarnate

Oh now this is rich…

Have fun with this one, I don’t think I need to comment. The article speaks for itself.

Wow. I’m really surprised that a quarter of U.S. Christians believe in reincarnation.

Don’t exaggerate–its only 1/5.

Huh? The article says:

Recent surveys by the Barna Group, a Christian research nonprofit, have found that a quarter of U.S. Christians, including 10 percent of all born-again Christians, embrace it as their favored end-of-life view.

Now, I’m no mathematician, but I took that to mean that a quarter of U.S. Christians believe in reincarnation.

I can’t tell if you’re questioning my reading comprehension or the article’s veracity.

He read the part about 20 percent of U.S. Adults, and confused it with the part about a quarter of U.S. Christians.

Ok. Thank you, Neph! One good turn deserves another, eh?

Yes, I mis-read the “Christian” v. “adult” part. I had to go back and reread it (but only skimmed it) because I couldn’t believe that that many people in the US believe in reincarnation. 20 v. 25% is still a lot of people in my opinion.

No. Not questioning your math skills at all…I figured you were just rounding for effect.

Now you can question my reading shills.

No he didn’t. He meant to flame Emily. Give him hell!

I have watched this news blurb for a couple weeks.

China will never force a spiritual leader onto the Buddhist faithful. Sure, they may claim they have, but this individual will never be accepted, and as such, never be legitimate.

It’s tantamount to declaring that they (China) will be picking who the next Pope.

This individual will be ostracized. China will show itself as the omni-oppressive entity it really is. The backlash just may start the beginning of China leaving Tibet. That would be a very good day.

Oh. Right!

Goddammit, LIFTICVS, you’ve gone too far. So…don’t go that far again. Okay? Or else.

No, no. I’m very precise. If an article says “a quarter,” then, by God, so do I.
