Liberating Lawn Gnomes

I’ve become a recent supporter of the movement to liberate lawn gnomes from their masters. I have found a home near me where gnomes are currently being held captivate, and I plan to free them all tonight.

How many of you guys have taken part in this?
Tools of the trade?
Bike + backpack?

Gnomes got no right to live!

Yeah, I’m a recovering warcraft addict.

Just make sure they don’t steal your underpants.

Do you mean just Warcraft or WoW? I quit the WoW habit about 2 years ago myself. That was rough.

WoW. I quit about a year ago. Only played for 6 months, but damn, that character was like a part of me. Deleting that account was like cutting off a hand.

Now wait a minute! Today it’s Lawn Gnomes. What about tomorrow… IRON DWARFS?

lol

I played for about a year myself. When you consider the amount of time you invest in building your character up, it’s hard to walk away form that. I considered signing back up after the first expansion game out, but decided against it. I didn’t want to have to deal with quitting again.

I played for the PVP. When I got to level 70 I could see that it would take so much time to build my character to be competitive that it just wasn’t worth it any more.

Another thing that happened that finally made me quit was my mom called one day and asked what’s been going on, and I realized that of all the important things that had happened to me in the past few days were in WoW. That’s when I realized I had it bad.

I used to do that with my college roomie. One night, we were cruising along, about to liberate some gnomes, slowed the car, hopped out…and saw the homeowners sitting on the porch in the dark.

Good times.

Yeah, I just could never come up with a good enough strategy to do well in PvP. I would change my skills like once a week because I could never decide on a spec I liked.

I’m ashamed to admit I quit for a similar reason. I realized that I was losing touch with friends and family cause I spent all my time playing. If they could come out with a game that I could play for just an hour or two from time to time and not feel like I’m losing ground, then I’d probably be interested in that.

But I guess that’s why I stick to console games these days.

That’s the way it was for me at first. I played maybe 10-15 hours a week. Towards the end I’d have 2 days off of work and spend both of them in front of WoW.

I used to own the PVP battle grounds. Basically, I had one character I played, and only specialized in one talent tree, respected once or twice for fine tuning, and got familiar with that style of play. Eventually I was taking down character classes I shouldn’t have been able to mess with. If I had tried different specs, I don’t think I ever would have caught on.

should I take my bike or walk? if I walk? if im on a bike and get caught I can get away quicker, but I cant manuever and hide as well. and if I run, I won’t be as quick but it’ll bea lot easier to hide. hmmm

I say walk. If you need to hide, it will be easier. Sure you might have more speed on a bike, but if you need to hop a fence or anything like that, you’ll need to ditch your bike anyway.

Plus, where will you put the liberated gnome? The pink straw basket on the front of the bike?

If you cover it with a blanket, it would kind of be like in the bike chase scene from E.T.

What are you going to do with the damned things anyway? Target practice?

I’m going to take pictures of me in sexual positions with the gnomes.

Then I’m gonna blank out my face and send the pictures to the owner of the gnomes.

You have to post them in this thread or it didn’t happen.
