I would be in the pathetic “works out” category : (
At 6’1" I think I need to jump from 190 to prolly 210 to be considered big. Fuck.

lol. I’ve gotten up to 240 at 5 10 and don’t think I’m big.

Honestly, until I get down to where I want to be it’s hard to say, but I figure if I can come in around 215 or so that’s likely all I’m going to weigh in relatively lean condition. Contest ready, I’m sure I’d have to get into the 190’s if not less.
Fortunately, I’m not looking to be in contest shape anytime soon, so a lean 12 % around 215 or so would make me happy right now. To the average person I’d be considered big, but not if you put me next to an NPC heavyweight. Fortunately, I’m not looking to be 250+ pounds lean.
I think I have decent-enough shape and genetics to look good at a lower weight. But at this point my goal is to hit my weight by the summer and take it from there. Then I can think about gaining again once I get a good look at what I’m working with when it’s not covered with chub…lol…
I know opinions differ as to what big is, but honestly I think 215 - 220 with 18 inch arms and everything else in proportion at 5’ 10" will be fine with me. Not saying I don’t want to continue to improve, but getting conditioned now is what I really have to do.

big, bigger lol

This (250-255 @ 6’). I’m not lean though so it is impossible to say where I am or where I’ll end up…

No offense, but you most likely won’t look much bigger at 210 than you do at 190, especially at 6’1. At 5’11 I’ve been a fairly lean (about 14-15% bf) 225 and definitely wouldn’t have considered myself big. I’m a much leaner 210 now and while I’d hate to think I’m in a “kinda works out” category, I definitely am not big. Maybe we need yet another category that is “kinda looks big, but not really” haha
^^ that is why I do not officially recognize the “kinda sorta works out” category… It’s “works out”
I’ve put on 50lbs since I started training (130-180lbs)…and would still probably put myself in the “works out” category. Still a long way to go until “big”, but I like to think I’m not “skinny” anymore. Then again, by the bigger guy’s definitions, I still might be.

Where does Kingbeef see himself?
Lewhitehurst?

I would like to answer this one too.
This pic was taken when I was still 18 years old, so a couple months old.
Being 6’2" and 265 lbs and 20 inch cold arms (not flexin legs), I would think I would go into the Heavyweight category. But I am not really too sure about that anymore, what do you think?

People (average folk) call me big right now. It’s because of my frame. I’m very slender so every ounce of muscle I add looks like another pound.
It’s the illusion thing. Guys cut out water and lose a little fat and look bigger.
So, to me it depends on your frame and other things.
If not we would just go by weight and you would fall into a certain category.

I think you’re a fucking monster in the making if that’s you at 18. That’s what I think.

I think I agree with you…but in real life, I would say you are getting close to “huge” if I knew you personally.
I weigh about 280 in that pic in my avatar. I still think I may hit “heavy weight”.
“Huge” will all depend on how filled out I am after dropping weight and whether I dropped too much muscle.

Dorian Yates progression:
Skinny

Works out.

big
Nice.
Thanks. The “big” picture may be slightly smaller than optimal, but it was kinda hard to find early picture in his career.
