Poorly knee update: hurts standing , walking, going up or down stairs and driving so other than calf raises still havent attempted to train legs.
May try a few sets of light leg press and see of the pain gets wosre after.

In general, and 100% not advice specific to your knee issue -I highly recommend checking out the kneesovertoes guy’s stuff.

#1 ā€œtipā€ (or ā€œeasiestā€ exercise for bad knees) is walking backwards, pulling a sled or something similar to add resistance.

Just saw a Lee Boyce clip where he advocates backwards incline treadmill walking for knee health, will give it a try.
I also need a new van, when mine was off the road for a month i borrowed a couple that had cruise control. Being able to move my leg around off the accelerator was amazing for my knee on long journeys. (i typically drive 30,000 - 40,000 miles a year, most my journeys are long.)

I’m a fan. Just tried the backwards walking the other day as a warm up for squats. Helped reduce the pain a lot. I’m going to keep it up.
