So it seems like an interim belt will be set up. Interesting implications for the HW division, but I hope Brock will be OK.

Has there been any word from the UFC regarding this? Seems the normal thing when a current champ can’t defend the title right? Who would go in? Valasquez v. Carwin?

I was thinking the same thing with Cain and Shane, since now Big Nog is out with Staph and won’t be fighting Cain at 108. Personally, I would like to see Dos Santos in the mix, but I know he’s fighting Gonzaga, so that may be out.

Wishing Brock a safe, speedy recovery. Regardless of if anyone likes or dislikes Brock, illness is something you don’t wish upon anyone, and I’m wishing him the best in his recovery process.[/quote]

Carwin won’t be fighting in 108, he’s getting knee surgery after hearing Brock was out

Looks like Brock’s got a bad case of Diverticulitis.

Looks like Lesnar is improving and should be home soon. Glad to hear.

Carwin isn’t actually getting knee surgery. He just got an MRI that told him he had an MCL sprain so he’s staying away from any grappling for a few weeks. However, that doesn’t change the fact that he won’t be fighting at 108 like allthemisc.com2 said

Yeah I just read that actually. So I guess a Cain-Shane fight will be in the works for the near future?

some folks are taking his lightly or are uninformed, 18% of Diverticulitis cases can be fatal 1 in 5 guys…

second point, does he mono additionally? if so he’s out for at least a YEAR, unless he wants something to rupture from being hit.

i hope he recovers quickly, and by quickly it means see you by 2011 Brock.

18% of cases can be fatal in 1 in 5 guys and 95% of statistics are made up on the spot.

Sucks for Lesnar, don’t like him but hope he gets better, wouldn’t wish a career ending illness on anyone particularly not when it would cause everyone to question the legitimacy of any future champ.

It appears he is back home now.

so, like 3 1/2 percent?

the point i’m emphasizing is that although folks want him back soon, he will not be fighting anytime soon, if ever again.

i think he’s a cock in terms of his actions pre and post fight, that said i don’t see anyone beating him…including FEDOR.

i think fedor is the best, just too small to fight a super heavy guy like Brock.

lol I like how out of no where you want to turn this into a debate over who would beat who… hopefully brock will be back to fight another day… we still don’t know much

I think cyrus meant that 18% is 1 in 5 guys and not one in five out of 18%. But I had to read it twice to get it.

He will be back. I had 1/2 of my large and small intestines rupture in a MVA. They had to be removed. After some down time and adjustment period with diet along with getting dialed in on medications and supps, he should be fine. Best of luck to the man.

this. just didn’t want explain, perhaps my sentence structure was awkward. i hope he gets well soon, it’s just funny how people are pissed that he’s ill and expect him to bounce right back, he’s got some serious shit going on.

regarding my Fedor comment, i’m not trying to turn this thread into that type of debate, i’m just pointing out that despite not having the skill set of Fedor, Brock is a big controlling dude, i don’t see anyone doing much on the ground w/ him in top control.
