Leg Shot

in his defense, he was pretty shredded when he measured, and a track and field athelete(jumper) so he was strong for his size…

as for zephead’s squat, i’d imagine it is hitting depth since he’s training for powerlifting, it’d only make sense

(although for a sidenote, i squat more oly style so maybe thats different than really wide? i think i used to squat a bit more when i went wider)
I squat with a close stance and IPF deep. I’ve got about 20% bodyfat right now. When I squat I’m a bit deeper then the picture you posted. I also squat with a drop down style rather then a sit back leaning over more style.

Kinda hard to explain.

no that makes sense to me, sounds very similar to how i squat

zephead, another quick question, do you’re hips ever start to bother you when going heavy (since it seems we squat similar)? i never used to have a problem (before it was my back) and now that i thought i had my form consistantly perfect, my hips give me a lot of trouble…

maybe just adjusting to my new strength (note, pain goes away when i squat hipwidth, rather than slightly wider than shoulders, which is where i’m strongest and prefer to squat)

i would feel back for the hijack, but when he said the op said he had over 30" legs and then went back and said he’d post pics once he got them that size i figure the thread has pretty much died anyways, no offence op, take it as a lesson learnt i guess

I think it is possible they are 30". I probably should have read the first RMP to see if there were any lifts in there so that I could judge. I squat 335 for 4 reps and leg press close to 575 for 4-6 and my legs are about 25.5" last time I measured. I’m 6’3" so I think earning almost 26" is pretty good. I mean, so at 6’5" it’s hard for me to believe that they are 30" depending on the lifts. They better be better than mine or I’m going to feel small haha.

Well when you squat that way you’re calves don’t move very far and you knees stay behind your toes. That kidn of squat places more load on the hips rather then the knees.

I occasionally have some issues where my left leg attaches to the hip, but I’m fairly sure it’s from deadlifting. I have pretty big hips, and a big deadlift compared to my squat so I may just be built for lifting that way.

 1. There is no way in hell your ham/quad measurement is 30"

 2. You’re a douche for posting this pic on its own in this section considering how underdeveloped they are

 3. Those are the worst/weirdest looking quads I’ve ever seen
this asswipe said he has a 30" ??? My upper leg is at LEAST 40% bigger than his and I’m at 27 I think. Fuck this asswipe.

I really don’t know what to think of those quads. Some deffinition would make the muscle more easily visible - it’s about quality, IMO.

My mother has like 35 inch quads, though she ain’t stepping on stage any time soon and I don’t think she could squat an Oly bar, empty. No rating.

zephead, ok i lied, thats not the way i visualized, i squat more “olympic” style you could say, owell, i’ll keep stretching and give it a little rest before i go super low reps again, thx for the help

John Q. Adequate, i think most people do…well no, SHOULD only count relatively lean measurements…

…as everyone has friends i’m sure that boast “big guns” but look like complete shit and would lose like 6" if they actually dieted down to look half decent (this is in no way denouncing bulking in any way, only my idea of a preferred form of guidlines for basic measurments)

As much as I’d like to give any high school athlete props for hitting the weights, the OP is clearly deluded in some manner. If his legs indeed measure 30"

(and I doubt that very much), then they are fat, plain and simple (and 6’4, 250 lbs, with the definition you display in your profile pics,… bro, you are a pudgy one indeed). 30" is equivalent to some people’s waists, and as someone already pointed out, Arnold’s legs didn’t tape at that measurement.

And since we’re all tossing in our numbers, I can backsquat 550, front squat (calves touching hamstrings, ATG) 225 for reps, and am fairly lean at 197 lbs as of this morning… and with 15 years of training under my belt, MY LEGS AREN’T CLOSE TO 30", and NEITHER ARE YOURS! -lol

S

just measured, 28’’ at top, 25 at middle

when i took that pic i had not squatted for 3 weeks because of back injury, i still have back sqautted ive just done front cuz they feel better on my back

stop making excuses

I’m not saying anything about your physique, just suck it up and put hours in the gym. How is what I’m saying bashing? you posted a picture you need too just cop the response

You should be able to legpress alot more than that. I do 540 for a 3x10 and i can’t even squat 335 once.

OP get a pic on tape measuring your leg. This will shut up thos that don’t believe you.

Jezz if I had 28" quad’s and nobody believed me the first thing I would do would be to prove it. Im sure as hell I wouldn’t guess there size and say they were, all let me think “30” quads" :P.

Just get the god damn pics to shut the haters!

your nutrition?

I’m not going to argue this stupid point, simple thing is you should put up a picture and then not defend things why things are the way things are. Your young and dedicated, have years in front of you. The problem with everyone including me is that you want results yesterday, sadly in anything with weights it takes time.

just give stats thats it, then cop the rest on the chin. Sadly, I did not do this when I posted my last RMP, however I’m glad I took in the general consensus and believe I have made decent progress since then. The reason for the progress, I read the thread saw a common issue and then seriously took a long look in the mirror at myself then decided to do something about it. Got everything in order from training, diet, supplements and the mind.

You have two paths you can take from now, its your life and your choice. I just dont want too hear anymore bickering about size etc. If you want post a picture with a tape measure around your leg or step back a bit from the mirror and take a full leg picture.

either good luck with whatever your doing but stop making excuses. Making Excuses is a bitch ass idea.

im not making excuses, and i did change and take the advice i now do front box squats 3x a week

lets just drop this and move on

Im with jtg on this one. This thread has gone on to 3 pages b/c for some reason your refuse to take another leg pic with a tape measure or just backed up further. If your legs are REALLY that big I dont understand why you would want to keep getting flammed when you could easily post a new pic. It just makes no sense.

my parents wont do it, and havent had someone over for a while
