Leftover T?

I am about to embark on T treatments for hypogonadism through the VA. It sounds like they are going to send me a vial that is equivalent to 2 weekly injections, but only 1 sharp. Im supposed to throw the other half out. WTF?

That seems really awkward, and also (yes, I know- VA medical is weird sometimes) expensive on the part of others. What do any of you vets that might receive treatment for this from VA do?

  • your pre TRT labs
  • age, weight, waist
  • health conditions and medications, Rx and OTC
  • how/when did low-T begin

You can get insulin syringes without a prescription in most USA jurisdictions and Canada.
You can inject with #29 1/2" 0.5ml [50iu] syringes. ~$14 per 100 at USA Walmart/Sam’s for Relion house brand.

Most get 10ml multi-dose vials that last a long time. Easier to handle than a tiny vial.
