ground beef definately is not of the same quality of meat as steak though. guys at Elite would tell you this. How much you think this will affect you is another issue…

It depends on what you are grinding. If its a cheap cut of meat, like chuck, you’ll get more connective tissue, but if you use sirloin, you’ll get more usable flesh. Check your labels when you buy your meat. I have a grinder so i can grind my own.

Unless you have a meat grinder at home (like we do) and grind up some sirloin. Tasty.

Can any of you guys tell me the protein content of Eye Of Round? How much protein per ounce?

As far as I know Eye of Round has 24g of protein, 0 carbs and 4.2g of fat per 3 oz.

Paul, thanks for the info. I’ve been eating about 6 oz of eye of round every night, and had no idea what it’s protein content was.
