Any thoughts on the lipids? My e2 was low in this snapshot- but I’d taken 1/4mg anastrozole 48 hours earlier. Take it a bit ad-hoc.
This was trough e4d jab cycle on 140mg per week.

Your calculated Free T results looks underwhelming. How could you be having high estrogen symptoms with free T levels mid range?
Don’t forget thats at trough on an e4d protocol.
If you tested it 1/2/3 days before T would be a lot higher.
I’m not having high e2 symptoms. I use a bit of a.i sometimes as little as e8d when it creeps up.
Just a snapshot- very often e2 is mid range when I test.
If i dont use the a.i I have bloat, high BP, moon face etc.
But no symptoms with using a little bit.
Thats literally the only lab I’ve ever had where its been low.
Just edited- more asking about the lipids than much else.
Yup, testosterone messes with your lipids. Is your diet perfect?
No. My diets been shite this winter.
Had a layoff as had a niggly knee injury and not trained much at all.
So worse food.
Approx 10 hours less cardio per week for the last 2 months too.
Only on the triglycerides. Cut down on processed carbs. Don’t worry about testosterone having a negative impact on lipids, it is not true. I cannot tell you how many guys I have that were able to discontinue statins after starting TRT.
Thanks. I’ve eaten a lot of crap this winter.
Guess its caught up with me.
Goid incentive to get back on it and start thinking about racing weight cutting.
You need to make healthy food taste good to the point where you don’t crave the shitty food. I eat a lot of chicken, it goes on almost everything.
How long to see improvements in lipids? Been on 100 mg IM Test E 2X weekly for a few weeks. Major improvements in depression, anhedonia and anxiety, but… Just got my labs from Quest; Never concerned about cholesterol(it’s 250) but HDL is low, LDL high, Trigs over double the reference range. I do consume a carb heavy diet + lots of butter, eggs and dairy as well as fish. Going to see my urologist. Your thoughts and insights always appreciated.
It can take several months to make a difference, even longer. I saw a guy today who has been a patient for over two years and he came back with the lowest total cholesterol and LDL-C in his life.
Wow. At the moment feeling disheartened and want to quit. I’ve been on T for 11 years; various doses, injection frequencies, topical, pellets… As I’ve previously written, my urologist has over 30 years experience prescribing T and I’m his problem patient, but have to ask myself what benefits have I derived and other than muscles, not much else.
I’m seeing him in 2 weeks and we’ll have a discussion.
Have you modified your diet to try to help get your number in check? Seems like from what you mention above you could use some work in this area.
I don’t blame you. At some point, you have to decide if the benefits are worth it. We can and do respond differently to testosterone. It can be very frustrating. There are many factors here, diet, exercise, lifestyle, genetics among them.
Thank you for your insights. To recount my challenges, I have treatment resistant bipolar, CPTSD and need to take medication every night to sleep. I’m now into my third year of caring for my wife who has rapidly progressing Alzheimer’s. Not just memory loss and age regression, but paranoia and delusions, too. Yes, I live with unrelenting stress. Quite a challenge to live a healthy life, though I try but probably come up short.
Start a separate thread.
If I was going to consume a carb heavy diet and my goal was to have low LDL, high HDL and low trigs, I would NOT pair it with lots of butter and dairy.
Alternatively, if I wanted to consumed lots of butter, eggs and dairy and wanted good bloodwork, I wouldn’t consume a carb heavy diet.
I’m done.
You’re welcome. Hang in there.
Are the medications you take Benzos? the reason i ask is because I take medications sometimes that absolutely make me feel as if i am NOT on TRT the next day. My meds are short acting, so it doesnt last long, but there is a dramatic decrease in libido, and well being when i take these meds. I literally stopped a long acting med because it was almost completely negating my TRT (at least psychologically)
