But the Japanese made the Germans look like pikers in running death camps in the Phillipeans, Japan, Korea, and China.
And I say that as someone who descends from victims of the Shoa in Germany and Poland.
While Germany certainly had its death camps and “mad scientists” (Mengele) — Japan actually had organized (and logical) programs for biological warfare, testing of limits of human ability to stand cold, rape camps, etc.

Firstly let me say I was a confused, stoned idiot last night and completely misread your post.
I understand perfectly well that Stalin, Pol Pot, and Mao have the blood of millions on their hands. However, I doubt that any atrocity in human history could have been bad enough to make Auschwitz look nice.

This is the issue I had with Jewbacca’s statement. I KNOW about all the other atrocities and camps, etc. And although this is a free speech society, I’d choose to take care in how I express certain things. It doesn’t matter what you compare it to, there was nothing NICE about the Nazi atrocities.

Anybody with a brain can tell that he didn’t mean they were actually NICE. Let me explain it to you: that is a common casual phrase in the English language that is meant to point out how one thing is worse than the other. For example:
“Being gained raped by Goonies is nice compared to being ganged raped by Goonies AND Godzilla.”
See? Anyone can figure out that being gang raped by Goonies isn’t actually nice, and that the above is simply a phrase used to convey which of two bad things is worse.
