Labwork on trt shows my testosterone is low

Hi guys,

I’ve been taking testosterone for almost two years. I take 50mg twice weekly and I never miss a shot. I got my labs done and my testosterone was around 380 on my trough. Normally my trough is around 600. Only thing I can think of is the last vial of testosterone a month ago I noticed it had crystals. It wasn’t expired, I keep it in a drawer in my bathroom and I live in California near the beach where it never gets that cold. I warmed up the bottle, got rid of the crystals and gave myself a shot. The next dose I noticed crystals were barely starting to form at the bottom. Could this be the cause? If not what else?

How do you feel currently compared to the last ampoule? Has anything changed, libido, mood, side effects? Same manufacturer (LAB), quality. Try a different one. Pharmacy quality or ULAB?

Yes very likely. Thats reducing the concentration of your Test.

Since then my libido has increased a bit. I’ve only given myself two injections with the new, vial. The vial I had that was more than half used, the larger vial that formed crystals was hikma brand I believe which I’ve always gotten. The new vial is from Pfizer. I’ve never experienced this issue over two years.

What’s wierd it’s the same brand I always get from CVS. Not sure what happened.

So strange how that can happen with the same brand. I use the larger vials and they last me several months since my dosage is only 100mg. Would you recommend I get labs in 6 weeks after starting the new vial?

Probably underdosed batch, or is it the same batch nr? If you have no other sideeffects, it can be that the quality of the batch is worse. I heard many things about this. It could be!

I spoke to the doctor. He said sometimes the seal can get broken and exposed to oxygen which probably caused the medication to crystallized and become less potent

Hey so I got a new vial of testosterone like 3 weeks ago. This one is now crystalizing too! I have the multi use vial. Should I switch to single use vials to prevent this? I know my house can get a little cold but I don’t want this to keep happening and messing up my testosterone levels.

Maybe? It may be crashing in transport or you’re just keeping it in too cold a place. IDK. But warming up before injecting should be ok.

Question for you or anyone else that can chime in. When viles “crash” is the crystal formation the hormone part?
or, is the crystal formation the additives?

I thought the ‘crystals’ were the hormone.

My thing it happened with two new bottles in a matter of a month after opening. I know you can warm them up but what I’m worried about is my labs were super low from the bottle that had crystals. It seems it lessened the potency.

Not my place to answer here but…That was my thought process as well. If the hormone has separated from the oil. My guess would be that you may be injecting more oil than hormone. Once you have used a few doses. the remaining liquid once reconstituted would then be more hormone than oil and the potency would then be affected. I could be majoring in the minors here. Just a thought.
